Suspicious

Olivia's POV

It was dinner time, and we were all seated around the table. The bowl of salad was passed across to me. I raised my brows as I shifted the bowl to Austin, my gaze locked with that of Theo.

He appeared to have stared at me for a long time, and I had barely taken notice. I lowered my gaze back toward the plate of salad right in front of me. I fiddled around with the fork as I rolled it into the pasta. Times like these were what I hated, but it was pointless to keep complaining. There was no excuse left for me; I had not a single choice.

The silence was so thick that it slashed into thin air. The tension filled the air, as no one had said a thing all along. The eyes of Leo fell on me as I raised the bit of pasta into my mouth. I also felt Sir Darin's gaze on me, but I had not a single choice. There was not much to that; it was no news how he hated me, and I was surprised at how quickly I had gotten used to it.
