Tiny voice

Oh, my moon goddess!

He was fucking hot. The hottest werewolf I had ever seen and come across!

My eyes raked the strong muscle on his stomach, and my hand itched to caress them and see if it was as complicated as it seemed.

I swallowed the hard lump that formed in my throat and glanced away briefly as I felt him staring at me.

"Hey, you are awake." He murmured.

"So are you," I muttered, walking by him. As soon as I got to the refrigerator, my grip tightened on the metal handle.

I couldn't open it to get what I wanted due to his presence.

Slade was beside me, and I could feel his skin's temperature engulfing me.

He must have taken a hot bath. It was frigid here, unlike my previous home, where it was often warm.

I wanted to steal a glance at him. To see what he was doing as he leaned over the counter. But I couldn't!

I shouldn't!

I hastily poured myself a glass of water and walked to my room while reminding myself he was my brother. And, of course, I shouldn't have such thoughts about him.

But then, I couldn't help it; even as it was weird, I thought of him in that manner.

For a long time, I lay on the bed in my room, tossing and muttering. I had attempted to force myself to sleep several times, but it didn't work. Nothing was working, and somehow, the thought of Slade buck naked kept pushing itself back into my head.

Each time I freaking shut my eyes, I saw him. I doubt I'd have a great night's sleep today. I'd indeed have more nasty thoughts after seeing him in that manner.

.

.

The following day, I woke up early and freshened up. I wanted to make a first impression by arriving at school early, but at the back of my mind, I knew the thought of Slade contributed to it.

I had stayed awake for a while with his thought dancing about in my head before my alarm rang.

Somehow, I felt irritated I couldn't concentrate on something else rather than on him.

It would have been a lot better if it was not a forbidden thought.

Shaking my head, I shoved back the thoughts while wearing the skinny blue jean and pink chiffon polka dot top I had picked the day before(The new school didn't have a particular uniform, and I was grateful for that.) I slung my backpack across my shoulder before walking out of the room.

I sighted Summer in the kitchen with a plate filled with pancakes.

"Good morning," I said, flashing her a smile, but she didn't return the smile or the greeting.

Shrugging, I gripped a red ceramic plate to fill with the pancake in the cooler.

Summer slapped my hand and shoved me away.

I stumbled but didn't fall. Also, I was lucky to have had a tight grip on the plate else it would have shattered.

I stared at her with raised brows, and she glared at me.

"You don't deserve to eat what I made. So fucking make your food because I am not your maid!"

"You shouldn't say that, Summer. She's your sister, and you should be glad she's eating from what you cook because she appreciates you." Luna Ashley said as soon as she appeared.

But Summer shook her head in disagreement, and I shrugged. If I knew she made the food, I wouldn't have bothered to try to take out of it.

For all I knew, she could have added something to the portion I wanted.

I quickly made my pancake as well since it was the fastest thing that would not delay me; I served myself and Luna Ashley since she insisted on tasting what I made.

"This is amazing, Winter," Luna Ashley said as she took a bite. She hummed, closing her eyes.

I flushed, averting my gaze. "Thank you."

I doubted if was that good. Maybe she was trying to be nice. But then again, I was a decent cook. I did all my cooking back at home. I didn't have the privileged of eating out all the time since we were practically poor, and I was trying to save money as well.

So, it wouldn't be wise to spend on junk when I could cook healthy food.

Slade strolled into the kitchen. His golden brown hair was in disarray, and he ran a hand through it, ruffling it more. "Morning, everyone!"

"Morning," I mumbled and heard everyone say the same.

I glanced away from him as I remembered last night. Then brushed off the thought as soon as I noticed him stack his plate with the pancake I had made.

"Fúck!" He exclaimed.

A hot brother who could cuss and make it sound sexy... It wasn't what I saw every day.

Slade was everything and maybe more. I didn't know, and I didn't want to dwell too much on the thought of him as well.

"Language, Slade!" Luna Ashley cautioned with a glare.

"Shít, I am sorry!" He flashed an apologetic smile toward Luna Ashley, and she rolled her eyes.

"I can't help it, mom. This is heaven, and I didn't expect my sister's cooking to be this good!"

Shyly, I lowered my head and flushed. Shít, I didn't bargain to be complimented like this, and I doubted Summer would like it.

But I shouldn't care about how she felt, right?

As soon as I was done eating breakfast, I was set and waited for the chauffeur who'd be conveying us to school.

He was a polite middle age man, and I believed I could get along with him.

When we got to the school, everything seemed somewhat foreign to me. I guessed with time, I needed to accept the daily training of the pack, which involved learning theoretical knowledge in the morning, combat training in the afternoon, and so on.

I had barely received systematic education, and all knowledge was taught to me by my omega parents.

Moreover, I learned some things myself, like reading books in my spare time and learning some simple crafts that would be useful.

I clutched my backpack tighter as a paper plane zigzagged through my head.

"Sorry, newbie!" Someone yelled, and others giggled.

I guess they all knew I was the new girl.

Who wouldn't?

I looked lost and so out of place.

When I got to the classroom, all eyes stayed on me.

I fidgeted slightly under their scrutiny as I stayed beside the teacher, waiting for him to introduce me to the class and point to where I'd be sitting for the whole session.

Instead, Summer stood to her feet and cleared her throat. She tapped her hand on the table, perhaps to get everyone's attention on her, and she snapped her fingers.

"My sister here..." Her lip turned down in disgust, and she wrinkled her nose before continuing. "She got transferred from another school and should also take the test we all did."

I gazed around the classroom to see everyone nodding to what she said.

I didn't know anything about a test, and no one told me else I'd have gotten prepared. Was some string pulled to get me in?

"If not, she must fight with me to show she's worth entering our class." Summer continued. "Although we are the Alpha's children, we should abide by the regulations of the pack and the school. If she doesn't win, she needs to leave the school."

The class fell silent, and I stared at her in bewilderment. She wanted me to fight her?! How the hell was I supposed to face her off without proper training?!

I guessed the teacher sensed my dilemma, and he shook his head.

Summer ignored him and went on. "I believe my sister will not lose face to our family as an Alpha daughter."

"Sure," I mumbled before I could help myself.

I was freaking accepting her challenge when I knew it would be easy for her to punch and beat me into a pulp!

Yet, I was not one to give up. Of course, I didn't know the outcome of what would happen, but I would do my best.

We were led to the training centre, which was a different place but still in the school environment. It was a large open space area surrounded by several bleachers.

The whole class had come to the training field to watch us fight.

I didn't know who they rooted for, but I was sure it was Summer.

My twin stood by Summer's side and whispered something in her ear. I didn't know what he said, but he seemed to support her all the time.

For someone that was my twin and supposed to act the way I did, he was very far different from me. And I didn't think he liked me too.

"Start!" The teacher yelled and blew a whistle.

Summer rushed towards me swiftly and tackled me to the ground. I didn't have enough time to dodge her attack as I planned what to do with her.

She stood to her feet and kicked my stomach, I was sent flying across the field, and my body slammed into a wall.

I gasped out as I felt my bone break, and I coughed out blood.

I gritted my teeth and stood to my feet. Of course, I wasn't giving up easily. I couldn't.

I didn't want to lose face and be tagged as a loser aside from being the Alpha's daughter.

Summer cackled and rushed at me as soon as I was standing. She gripped me effortlessly from the ground and swirled me in the air before tossing me towards the wall again.

Fúck!

This time, she didn't wait for me to get to my feet. Summer kicked me in several places, including my head, ignoring the fact that I could pass out or have concussions due to the assault.

I attempted to dodge her attack as well, but how could a daughter of an omega who spent her life working beat an Alpha's daughter that had been professionally trained?

I possibly wouldn't do any damage to her if I were given a chance.

Summer kicked me over again, and I groaned. My eyes rolled into my head, but I was very much alive. I wished I could pass out, but for some reason, something was keeping me active.

I heard a voice in my head. It was tiny, and I could have missed it because of the crowd roar.

But somehow, it sounded really sharp and pierced through my eardrums.

"Hi!"
