WINTER POV

"You are easily the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."

I turned swiftly, and my eyes collided with the greenest green eyes I had ever seen. I frowned, staring at him, and I let a smile adorn my face even as I didn't recognise him.

One thing I learned from Luna Ashley before the party started was to smile at anyone, even if I knew them.

She said it was essential and would make me more appealing to people if I did so.

"Thank you," I said.

"Please, don't smile at me."

I furrowed my brows. Did I do something wrong?

"Your smile makes me want to give you everything in this world!"

I giggled. I liked his response, and I knew he was flirting with me as soon as he said that.

He extended a gloved hand and bowed slightly. "Can I have the next dance? That's if you don't mind me stealing you away after that."

I opened my mouth to speak, and the word died in my throat as Slade butted in.

"She does mind. She'll be with me throughout the evening."
