THE BOOK OF SHADOWS 2

Nadia POV

Arriving at my hut, I sighed feeling already exhausted from the day's event. While I lit up the candles across the room, I couldn't help but reminisce about my conversation with the old witch. It was quite odd knowing that my destiny has been written, and while I am curious to know what it could actually be, my gaze went across to the book of shadows on the table.

There was something about the book's energy. I could feel a pull to the book and furthermore, the urge to open it up. Despite the urge, I remained calm, realizing the fact that it could be actually dangerous.

I walked over to the kitchen and set up my plates, ready to feed on the meat I had cooked earlier. Trying to scoop a morsel into my mouth, the desire to open the book returned, and this time, I couldn't hold back. This was beyond being in suspense and it led me to drop my plate of meat and eventually flee the kitchen.
