Nadia POVHis eyes were closed and he was definitely trying to observe silence thus, the question why he would choose to call me at such hour, when he knew that it was times like this he meditate.Once again, the door opened and standing behind me, was the hybrid prince, who seemingly looked like he just came out of a fight."I called you both here for the same reason. I need you to understand that the lines for battle has been drawn and while on a trance few minutes ago, it was revealed to me that the an invasion would be happening soon. Several men would be on their way here with several army; and also army of the dead." His explanation gave me goosebumps.I turned and stared at the prince and surprisingly, he was also staring in return."So what you trying to say is that we have to up our training?" Levi opened his eyes and stood up from his position."The best form of invisibility lies in defence however, possibility is always in the attacks. Both of you, would be training with
Nadia POV Morning came quite fast than I had imagined. The night may have been short due to the conversation with King Melchizedek. All thoughts had been on what the training would look like. Being a witch, who had wished to be a soldier, I was glad to know I will be getting the training I desire. However considering it's a first time, I knew more than anything else that a lot of things could occur, thid propelled my anxiety to increase. Beside me, Dante was still asleep and I could only but stare at him with pity. Rolling him back to face me, I smiled seeing how innocent he looked. Dante is a fine man and there was no dispute about it. "I will be grateful if you stop staring at me like I am some monument." His statement while his eyes were still closed was creepy and it had me frightened for a moment. "Did you have to do that?" I asked holding my chest, while he had a smile on his face. "I was wide awake before you got up. Seems to me you were exhausted." He stated, getting up f
Nadia POV Soaking up the tension in the atmosphere, I had reduced the level of my anxiety to zero and concentrated on my opponent. Remembering the instructions from Alina, while she had attempted to train me, I knew they would be to great use. This time I accelerated with the attack and begin to attempt to strike a part of him with the sword, but he was experienced in the defense area and this meant serious problem to me. After a second long battle of having to use my sword effortlessly, I felt moved back by his strong hands and he initiate an attack. His strikes were fierce and the impact left my hands shaking visibly. I wasn't a master at sword using and in the end, he dispossessed my sword off my hands, placing the point to my neck region. "I thought you had the advantage when you began the attack." Levi's voice came through to my hearing, after the grumpy guy had dropped his sword. "When you give your enemy the slightest opportunity, they will pounce and feed on you like predat
Dante POVI have never seen Ana looked so pissed before and despite the implication that would come with such behavior, I liked her this fireced. Walking behind her till we got to our room, I sat by the chair and watched Ana lay back to the bed. The evening was slowly approaching, a testament to how long we had stayed at the training ground."The fact that he thinks fighting with a sword is the best way to beat an opponent is irritating." Ana stated out of the blue. She was indeed still grumbling over her encounter with the prince."You know he has a point right?" I wished I hadn't said that statement as Ana gots up to stare at me in the most twisted way possible. "You are going to support him? Really Dante? Why am I surprised, this is coming from someone who used rifles anyways." Her savagery at this point was hilarious and all efforts to contain my laughs yielded no results, as I burst out into a hysterics of laughs."Keep laughing all you want, we both know I am telling the truth.
Nadia POVAs I stepped out of the room, I couldn't help but feel guilty. This was the man that had laid out his past on my table and what do I make out of it? Kissing him. What's more hurtful was the realization that it was one of the most intense moments of my life. Never had anyone made me feel this good, but being around Dante had created such a good energy. As I walked through the hallway, all I could hear was groans and roars, coupled with the clashing sound of swords. I headed to the training ground and what appeared before me was Levi training with a dummy. He looked very determined and for every bead of sweat that dropped from his body, he struck even harder at the dummy, till he eventually broke it."You should keep your impressive look for when I am done on the battlefield." He said without having to look back. "I didn't say I was impressed and I never had a smile on my face as well; you were just imagining things." He chuckled, while he used his sword to push away the brok
Third POVMeanwhile, in the Valve Coven, the Witches of the coven were having a party in celebration of the Queen's new found groom.“People of this great coven, it is an honor to have you all here today. This day would forever be in my heart as the day I finally consummate my groom in marriage and as my father would say; this night, I would finally have a taste of my husband's body” the crowd cheered in great joy.“Tonight, I want you all to merry, enjoy yourselves” the music continued as they kept on dancing to the tune.“Come my darling, let us leave this place and head over to the royal chambers” the Queen's groom, Queen Earl whispered to his bride.Once they were in the royal chambers, the Queen took off his robes and Queen Zara did the same as she lay on the bed awaiting his touch on her skin.“I have waited a very long time for this moment” he stated and claimed her mouth in a passionate kiss.“I would not trade this moment for anything in the world” he continued kissing every
“So Queen Zara here has something to tell all of us” he stood up and cleared his throat.“My fellow Queens and your honour, I am not one to base my information on fabrications as I presume everyone here has an important business to attend to but chose the crown’s invitation instead. Without wasting much of our time, I would like every one of you to know that we are at war and we shield our eyes to this. Last night, I got an information from a very reliable Intel that the Witch are planning to attack our Coven; now this has not happen in centuries and it is quite absurd that it is occurring right now, so I want the council to look into this issue and how it can be solved” Queen Zara finished and sat back.“Indeed, over the past century, this has never happened and in fact, my father told me categorically, that the Nordic Witch and the Crown made a pact which was signed with blood that there would not be war again amongst the two Coven. So here is what I suggest: we send a few of our de
Nadia POVFor a moment I felt peace, my body felt at its lowest point and in that moment, I realized life is meant to be like this; a place or a moment where you don't have to be bothered by anything. However, what became peaceful, became worrisome as time flew. It was rather much too peaceful not to even listen to the sound of my heart beat nor even my breath. While I thought through these things, a loud scream pierced through my ears and propelled me to shut them, almost immediately. The scream was feminine and the moment I opened my eyes to get a glimpse from where it was emanating from, I realized I was in the middle of a battlefield. The question of how I transcend to this place, was kept at the back of my other numerous thoughtful questions. The sight before me was horrific-almost too horrific to be witnessed by anyone.Head rolling down the floor, children separated from their mothers, while their fathers lay in the pool of their blood. Amongst all the death plague, was a famil
