Ember’s POV:

So that’s how it’s going to be now? Do I even have the right to ask questions? To rant? To vent out my feelings from all these? I can’t believe that my whole life is a lie!

I heard footsteps from the front. That’s so freaking strange. I’ve been feeling a little bit off for the past few days. From where I was curled into a ball, I saw my mother and a young man who looked relatively familiar. My eyes couldn’t see him very well because he had his back turned from where I was but his smell, oh…it’s so strong and sexy..what the…?

“...you made her live here?” His disgusted voice said to my mother.

“Hey, this is a pretty decent place. Besides what do you expect?” Mom replied to him in her annoyed voice.

“Barbara, that’s a lame excuse.”
