Unexpected Move

"Raamen, my daughter open the door." Mr. Hayan requested her helplessly.

"No." She was sitting on the bed and after the maids, listening to the voice of her dad, she yelled.

"Just go from here otherwise I will finish myself, go please." In a heavy voice, she screamed. Hayan got concerned for her. Normally, she does such kinds of stunts. When something happened contrary to her mood, she used to sit like that shutting the door behind herself.

But today her crying and heavy voice made Hayan feel tense and nervous. After a few hours, her nikkah is going to happen. Malik Mansion was decorated like a bridal and in all this, keeping herself locked in the room was surely the cause of agitation for her father.

In a few moments, the girls from the parlour are about to come here to make her ready. This nikkah wasn't an ordinary event. It was the marriage of world-famous business tycoon Jawad Zia's son with the daughter of Home Minister Hayan Malik. Many people from the upper class were invited for the ceremony and Raamen's behaviour at such a crucial time is a great cause of concern.

Hayan gestured to Dawood to bring another key. He left taking long strides.

"Take it, sir." Obediently Dawood forwarded the keys in front of Hayan and stepped back. Hayan gestured him for going and he himself unlocked the door, stepping into the room. He saw her sitting right in front of him wearing a simple dress and hiding her face between her knees. She was slightly shivering.

"Raamen, my daughter, what happened?" Hayan almost ran to her. He sat near her, raising her face. He was startled as he looked at her face. His heart stilled after seeing his only daughter, his life, his Raamen's red teary eyes and her body burning in fever. Her slightly shivering body was driving him closer to death.

Raamen looked up at her father. In a span of one night, she has gone through so many things. Her father is unaware of the fact. For the whole night, she was crying. Because of fear, she didn't slept for a single moment.

"Dad, where were you at night?" Jerking his hand, which was holding her chin, she asked him angrily. Hayan was astonished by her question.

"I was in my room." He cupped her face in his both hands. A sob went out of Raamen's mouth.

"What happened, my life? Why are you making your dad tense? Tell me, what happened? Have you saw a nightmare like in childhood?" He asked, pulling her closer to his chest. Raamen started biting her lips harshly.

How could she tell him that last night an unknown man came to her room, forcing her to sign a marriage agreement, and left her after taking her in his possession? She wasn't able to resist it.

"Dad…" Calling him in a painful voice, she again burst into crying which made Hayan nervous down to his heart. He took her in his embrace, assuring and realizing her his protection, but what use of this protection now? All is done with her. Now she is tied to an unknown man.

"What happened, Raamen? Please tell me, my baby, what happened?" Hayan asked, putting his lips on her forehead and stroking her hair.

"Dad, last night…." A sob went out of her mouth as she clenched Hayan's shirt in her fist and told him, remembering the soul-wrenching scene.

"Yes, my baby, what happened last night? Why is my brave daughter so scared?" Hayan asked lovingly, raising her face hidden in his chest and wiping her cheeks.

"Dad, last night someone came to my room, and….and…." She sobbed, pressing her lips. With a dumbfounded expression, Hayan was staring at her face.

"Who was here? And what happened?" He got nervous as if someone clenched his heart in a fist.

"Dad, he forced me to sign a marriage certificate at gunpoint." As she completed her saying, she cried again hiding her face in both hands. Hayan became a statue. With still eyes, he was looking at her, who was still crying. He doesn't have that much courage to silence or soothe her.

"Who was that bastard?" Suddenly he roared, which frightened the crying Raamen.

"Tell me, who was he? Who dares to scare and threaten the daughter of Hayan Malik? The bastard penetrated my house and no one knew about him." In a state of rage and fury, his roaring echoed in the whole mansion.

"Dad, I…. I don't know." Hayan was astonished when Raamen shook her head in negative.

"Have you seen his face?" Upon asking the second question, Raamen again shook her head in negative.

"Light was switched off and there was darkness in the room," Raamen told him in a helpless state and Hayan looked at her in disbelief.

"Then how did you sign the marriage certificate?" He asked surprisingly.

"In the torch of his mobile, he forcefully made me sign it by holding my hand." Hayan became a statue.

"Have you saw his name on the marriage certificate?" After a momentary pause, he asked her a third question. And Raamen again shook her head in negative. Hayan just ended up clenching his lips.

"One minute, I will ask the guard." Hayan stood up putting his hand on her head. Because of the darkness, if she couldn't see his face then at least she could have seen his name on the marriage certificate, Hayan wasn't getting it. Lost in his thoughts, with a frown on his forehead, and clenched lips, he descended the stairs and called the guards.

"Where were you all last night?" On his asking angrily, the chief guard, who was standing obediently, looked at his subordinates and then towards Hayan.

"Sir, on the duty." They all said in unison.

"If you all were on duty then that man….that thief, how did he come inside?" Speaking fluently he abruptly diverted the real matter which he was about to reveal. He knows if this matter reaches the media then what problems it will bring for him and what would be the future of his daughter. The mere thought of this is making him panic.

"I'm sorry sir but no one came last night. You can ask anyone." It was said by another guard. Hayan rubbed his forehead. Now what he should do, should he talk with Jawad? Thinking something, he summoned some courage and took out his mobile. He gestured to the guards to go out and dialled Jawad's number.

On the other hand, after exchanging greetings and telling him to come to his house, Hayan hung up the call.

Raamen stood up, picked up a dress for herself, and went to the washroom. In a few moments, she came out after getting fresh. Drying her wet hair, her eyes went to her hands filled with henna which she applied on the name of Zeeshan. She composed herself to some extent.

Remembering her cowardice last night, she became furious with herself. What is the need to get scared of death and sign the paper? But it is also true when death is in front of you, no matter what it always makes you helpless. We try our best to save ourselves.

If there is someone else in her place then she would have done the same. How brazenly he named her to himself and left.

"I'm not your possession, bastard." She screamed, throwing the bottle of perfume on the mirror and sitting on the bed fuming in the fire erupted by that stranger.

Listening to the noise coming out of her room, Hayan raised his head, looking up at the door of her room in despair.

"Sir, Jawad Zia has arrived." On guard informing him, Hayan turned his neck, nodded his head and gestured to him to leave.

"What happened, Hayan? Is everything alright? You called me early in the morning." Jawad asked him in a concerned voice as he stepped inside. Zeeshan was also behind him. After meeting with Hayan, they both sat on the sofa in front of him. Hayan didn't find it appropriate to talk with them in the presence of servants, so he took them both to his room.

"Nothing is alright, Jawad. Don't know which one of our enemies penetrated the room of Raamen last night and forcefully took her signature on the nikkah certificate. And he escaped the same way without leaving his imprints. Not only that, he also dodged the guards. I asked them, and they told me the whole night they were on duty. No one came in nor did anyone go out." Both father and son were looking in astonishment at what Hayan just told them.

"Hayan, are you in your senses? What are you saying?" Jawad asked him in disbelief.

"That's the thing Jawad, while saying this I feel myself mad." Hayan held his head in both hands. In shock and astonishment, they both become statues.

"Call Raamen, did she saw that man?" Jawad said after coming to senses.

"Raamen didn't see because the light in her room was switched off and it was dark. She couldn't even know his name. He seems like a very clever man who came and left without leaving any evidence." On Hayan's saying, Jawad looked at Zeeshan whose face was red due to rage. Hayan and Zeeshan checked all the CCTV footage, but they didn't find anything other than guards and dogs guarding the area. What kind of joke was played with them?

"Wow uncle, what a plan your daughter made!" When Zeeshan lost his patience, he clapped his hands. Jawad and Zeeshan, sitting in tension, looked up at him.

"What is this act, Zeeshan?" In a strict tone, Jawad gestured to him to stay silent.

"Dad, it's not my act, it's the drama of his daughter. Yesterday night she told me she didn't want to marry me. She doesn't like even spitting on me. I don't have any value in her eyes. I'm a dog, who waves his tail back and forth to her." He spitted looking at Hayan.

"Zeeshan, but why she would do this?" Hayan changed his sitting position while looking into the eyes of Jawad.

"Uncle, because she doesn't like me, I like her. I'm a cheap, third-class man. I'm not worthy of her." He explained in a stern voice.

"Enough." Jawad roared at him as his voice raised in anger and turned towards Hayan, who was sitting in a depressed state. Zeeshan squeezed his lips.

"Hayan, it could happen that perhaps she saw a nightmare. After all, there is not any evidence of what she is talking about. When there is not any sign or imprint, then how could it be possible? I think mentally Raamen wasn't agree with this nikkah and that's why she had some dream and was frightened. She used to saw such dreams before." Hayan became a bit satisfied with Jawad's explanation and made him understand him in detail. But still, his mind was confused about what Zeeshan told him.

"I also feel she must have saw a nightmare." He showed his consent by nodding his head.

"It's not any nightmare. It happened in real. Dad, why don't you believe me?" She screamed as she suddenly appeared at the door with a red swollen face. Jawad and Zeeshan both looked at her in awe, but they didn't say anything.

"Raamen, did you tell Zeeshan he isn't worthy of you and you don't want to marry him?" Hayan stood up. Raamen was startled and turned her gaze towards Zeeshan, who was also looking at her.

"Ohh, so this bastard man told you that it's my dream. But it's not a dream, it's a fact. And yes, let me make it clear that I won't marry him. I won't marry until you get my divorce from that stranger man. And you! Still, I won't marry you. Whoever doesn't believe me can get lost. On top of one nikkah, I can't do another." In a state of anger, she sputtered mannerlessly whatever came to her mouth and climbed back on the stairs, shutting herself in the room.

"Look uncle, she doesn't want to marry me. All this was just her pretence." Zeeshan, clenching his fists, retorted, chewing every single word.

"Then what did you think, Hayan?" Jawad asked him, taking a long puff of a cigar. On the insult of his son, he was controlling himself very hard.

"Nothing, let things go the way they are going. All the arrangements for nikkah have been made. Today's evening, we will perform a nikkah ceremony." On Hayan saying that, Zeeshan's face turned red again.

"Your idea has flopped, darling! Now it's my turn." He thought and after a while, he went out with Jawad.

Hayan was very depressed by the sudden reaction of his daughter. He was sitting in his room thinking about the situation.

And then that happened which shouldn't have happened. In the presence of all the guests, his daughter left for England, leaving her father and Jawad embarrassed and facing the question of the people.
