Chapter 10

After making up my mind, I became much calmer.

Over the next few days, I quietly ate all the food Fiona brought in. Nutrition was the only way I could heal.

Although my injuries were gradually recovering, I still couldn't shift.

All I could do was conserve my energy and wait for my chance.

It was Friday again, and Derek needed to attend the pack meeting, which usually lasted until late at night.

Fiona was the only one around right now.

The wound on my head had almost healed, and I started looking for something in the guest room I could use to call for help.

Luckily, there were plenty of pens and paper in the guest room. I wrote the words for help on a piece of paper and threw the paper out of the window, waiting for some kind people to help me.

To be sure, I found a book on the shelf with a ten-dollar bill I had put inside before. I used the bill to wrap the piece of paper, and threw it out.
