Chapter 8 : One month felt like a year

Val reached her home after hours of flying. After closing her apartment door, she sighed heavily. After drinking some water, she called her parents and informed them about her safe return.

Ty called her soon after she hung up the call. "Where are you, Val?"

"I am home Ty and I want to take rest for two days before coming to office, if it's ok with you." said Val walking towards her bedroom, collapsing on the soft bed.

“Of course. You can take leave as many days you want.” replied Ty caringly.

"I am fine with just two days. Later I’ll……" Ty cut her off even before she could say what she wanted to. "I am giving you ten days off so rest well and enjoy your free time Val. You deserve it after all the tough work you’ve gone through."

"Just four days and it's final." said Val in non-negotiable tone.
