Chapter 7 : Why are you here?

At eight thirty, Phoebe knocked on Val's door after reading the text message. She wants to know what's the emergency so that she can help if necessary.

As soon as Phoebe entered Val's room she saw her luggage, fully packed. "Why are you leaving all of a sudden? What is the emergency, Valerie?" asked Phoebe sitting on the couch.

"I need to report the board members about annual financial report." said Val putting on her wristwatch.

"You can also do it tomorrow. By the way it's only August, as far as I remember you should report it in the month of November right?" asked Phoebe in confusion. This isn’t a problem at all and shouldn’t consider as an emergency.

"You think I don't know that Phoebe? It’s Mr. Quinn. He wants that report by tomorrow morning, and I know he will make a big deal out of it, if I didn’t submit it on time. and I don't want any disturbances in the company." replied Val, making sure that all her stuff is packed.
