I opened my mouth, brain searching for something to say to that. When my mind continues to produce nothing, still too stunned to wrap my head around to what he said to me, I immediately turn my attention to my snack. I quickly stuffed a few grapes into my mouth, trying to distract myself from his heated gaze.

“Such a shy princess,” Axel purred in my ear. “Is my princess thinking about us? Are you thinking about the pleasure I can give. I could have you withering underneath me, screaming my name while I-”

“Grilled cheese!” I interrupted, not being able to take anymore teasing. I hope that the mention of food will completely change the topic. Plus, I’ve been craving curly fries and a grilled cheese sandwich for the past hour now. Might as well should bring up what I want now.

Eyebrow arching high, his seductive mood quickly disappeared. “Grilled cheese? Do you want a grilled cheese sandwich? Are you hungry?”

I nodded, finishing off the last bit of my green fruit. The last time I ate wa
