After Midnight

After midnight, I awake in his bed, draped in sheer curtains. The window's open, and the wind's blowing. It's the beginning of October, so tonight is chilly. The room is dark, but the moon is giving me a glimpse of light.

I'm trying to see through the curtains but am too afraid to shift positions. To get my focus, I kept blinking, and then I saw a large dark shadow heading towards me. Thoroughly convinced I'll be dying a brutal death, I make peace with my Maker.

Tristan pulls back the curtains and crawls into bed. He then crawls on top of me. His eyes glow like cat eyes as he leans above me, breathing deeply. Petrified, I stare back as he kisses me, but I taste blood. He stops and licks the blood from his lips as I swallow the blood now inside my mouth.

He says, "We've definitely met before. You saw me look into your tent in the woods. I could tell you liked my eyes. And I liked yours. In fact, I liked you. I remembered your beautiful face from Blake's phone.
