CHAPTER 68

It took us all day to get to where we were going and we couldn’t risk being seen that night, so we stayed at the next town over.

But we left before the sun had even risen the next morning.

We got to the house where the vampires were held up and we made sure that we were back far enough, just in case they could sense us inside.

We needed to stay back for a long time, to give them a chance to go to sleep. And the problem was that they had chosen a spot that was sort of out of town, but neighbors were still pretty close.

“That’s pretty clever of them. They think we won’t attack with neighbors.” I said.

“What are we going to do about the civilians?” Tucker asked.

“If they’ve got any brains then they would already be gone. There’s no way they could possibly not know that there are vampires next door.” I said.

“Look at that house over there. People are inside.” Dean said. So I looked over and he was right. There were people inside.
