Chapter 52

Isaac

I turn and instead of going towards the office of the manager of this hotel I walk towards the receptionist. My heart is beating loudly.

I will just have a look at them. Just like a stranger I will look at them and nothing more.

With an absent mind I stopped before the receptionist. Her eyes swivel towards mine and she gets alert seeing me.

I gulped the lump and parted my lips to ask about my lo…. I mean her. But except air nothing came out. Thankfully Rose asked her in my stead. “Um, there is a guest living in your hotel. Her name is Roxanne Rodriguez."

I doubt she is using that surname anymore. Just like how she discarded my existence she must have discarded the surname of my family. The family which she hates.

“Mrs Roxanne Rodriguez is in room no 1223. Floor 25."

I get surprised.

She didn't change her surname.

Suddenly I remembered the promise.

‘I promise that you can meet them as their uncle. And I will always be Isaac Rodriguez's wife.’
