"Oy robot!" Lexio could be said to have called Kean a robot many times. After all, he was so flat!

Kean glanced flatly, while waiting for what Lexio wanted to say again.

"Um, no offense. I was just curious once, do you... have a family?" It was the first time he was nervous about asking-this with someone else. Not his own family.

Kean didn't want to answer yet, his gaze still flat. Lexio could see clearly, there was an expression of annoyance. However, it was successfully disguised with his flat face.

Apparently, it still offended him, didn't it?

Kean sighed for a moment, because he started to be questioned about family. After previously, someone else had asked the same question.

What family?

Honestly, Kean had forgotten what family was. Every time someone asked, he would be silent. As if the memory of family had been permanently erased, it was actually intentionally forgotten by him.

"Ignore that one!" said Lexio.

Deciding to continue shooting practice, but stopped again when he saw Kean standing next to him again.

"Are you sure you managed to cover up this hidden training?"

Lexio paused for a moment. "No, because either the two of them or father will find out. Besides, all the activities will reveal themselves." It was as if there was a CCTV moving around, watching him.

"You're not bad, still practicing so what?" Kean was not a reliable shooter, it could be said that he often observed enemies or allies attacking with rifles. For some reason, Kean suddenly wanted to have a small conversation. Whereas earlier, he ignored and was brief when replying.

"Just want to master all the rifles."

"Hm, I see." Kean leaned against the wall, somehow the intention to wander around the Demoniac family's yard vanished. Choosing to watch Lexio practice shooting.

****

It was already three o'clock at night, three hours of shooting practice for Lexio. Not only Lexio or Kean, people who live in the dark world often ignore bedtime. Or simply never sleep.

"Do you think it's okay? A person whose profession is so vile, trying to have normal feelings, wanting to be able to behave normally. Basically like a normal teenager?"

"It's fine, just don't weaken yourself."

Lexio was silent at that.

"You want to be free huh?"

"Uhm that's not all, I don't want to be considered a burden because I can't balance the abilities that the two of them have. Sure, if they already know about my hidden training. That doesn't mean they'll immediately believe I'm reliable."

Kean was reluctant to respond to anything.

"Living a normal life too, definitely won't weaken yourself. The point is, I just want to feel it for once."

Lexio was always in the main house area, as if confined. Alex told him to practice until he could match his twin brothers. He meant well, but for Lexio it was like a restraint. Only once, he was invited to attack the enemy. The rest was at home and practicing.

Sick of being trained by a twin brother who took the time-aka-obeyed Alex's orders to train him. Finally, he refused and just observed. Decided to train in secret, even though she would still be discovered.

"Everyone has the right, if the other person forbids it. You must be able to resist or give a good reason to resist."

"What do you do when you're not working?" Lexio was curious again.

"None of your business!" hissed Kean.

Lexio scowled in annoyance, then followed Kean out of the room. In fact, followed him. Stopped in her tracks, as the one she was following stopped and turned around. Again, a flat stare, which Lexio saw.

"What else?"

"You like to mingle with ordinary people, right? Even if them think you're scary?" asked Lexio. "Don't you wanna help me get out of the house?"

Kean raised one eyebrow, not expecting Lexio to ask him that. Then he turned around and took another step.

"Oy!" he shouted.

"You're trying on your own!" argued Kean.

Managed to get Lexio to stop following him, and even left for who knows where? Maybe, back home? I don't know, Kean didn't really care. Choosing to wander around until morning.

Kean propped up his chin with one hand, his black bead fixed on the outside of the windshield. Glancing briefly in the other direction, Lexio stood in the doorway of the house. It wasn't long before Alex's two eldest twins approached, but were ignored and walked away by Lexio.

"Your survival rules are tougher than others—huh?" chided Kean deliberately.

Alex couldn't believe it when Kean said something. Usually, he was always silent and would speak if someone asked or started first. He understood instantly that Kean must be talking about Lexio's wish. Earlier, he clearly caught Kean's eyes glancing briefly at his youngest son.

"Because I'm not outspoken like him, it's passed down to his son."

Kean just cleared his throat, understanding that Alex meant the Santana family. In the profession of the dark world, his true identity was Satania while Santana as a family to blend in with ordinary people. Demoniac was not close friends, but his relationship with Satania was strong—always on the same page. The two families agreed to become allies.

"Just saying, lazy or afraid of going overboard with human auctions for no reason—huh?" sneered Kean.

The first time he made a deal with Alex until now, the second time—the point was that he was still new but could guess well, that Alex could not resist the urge to auction off humans or kill them to be used as house decorations. Although there had been many.

"Well, that." Alex didn't argue, sometimes his wife and three children said so.

"True to the family name, one is cruel like a demon and the other is a devil!"

Alex chuckled loudly. "How come a robot-looking human like you talks so much?" Deliberately turning around to sneer.

Kean chuckled annoyed, actually wondering why he started talking so much. He wanted to jump out of the car, because Alex's behavior was sometimes beyond his real persona as a mob boss.

"You're just hanging around."

Kean understood that the meaning of the word 'loitering' was not just circling Alex's company. Rather, it was to be a probing observer into his cold and secretive personality. When he found the real answer, whether or not the culprit remained adamant. Then, Kean was free to do anything humiliating to solve it. Alex's first order, hiring himself to scare almost seamlessly, was more on the verge of success and failure.

 "Yes, alright."

In truth, Kean was reluctant to roam openly among them for long. It felt better to be covert, considering Alex was now his boss. So, he just complied.

Another grunt of annoyance was heard, but continued to pace—reluctant to stop or say hello after all this time.

Yep, Kean accidentally met someone from his past. Although, it was just one person. A middle-aged man, though almost elderly—still tall and healthy. Not trying to get closer, just staring from afar. Still trying to believe what he saw.

Kean, here?

Kendra was the name of the man who made Kean let out another curse of annoyance.

"What's wrong? Did boss say boss was in a hurry?" The secretary was suddenly surprised when her boss paused after walking so fast because of some other business.

Kendra shook his head. "Let's go."

Kean was suddenly overcome with emotion, having already forgotten the past that he never wanted to remember. However, he could not blame fate. If they will eventually be reunited under completely different conditions.

It wasn't longing that Kean felt, it was hatred. Wanting to erase his memory again, after accidentally crossing paths.

Shit!

When his cell phone in his pants pocket vibrated, he got a message from Alex.

"Are there four people? They've left." Kean got another message from Alex, obtained from another mobile CCTV that the target had left but still insisted.

Meanwhile, a black car was speeding away. Precisely the vehicle of the trouble maker, and his three minions.

"How could he hire that teenager too! After getting close to one horrible person!" he snapped.

The horrible person in question was Regan, though she didn't interfere too much with Alex's personal and family matters. Still, it was always thought that she would help Alex solve the problem. In fact, no.

"Unbelievable! An ordinary company owner could easily hire him!" The others got angry too.

Emotions got the better of them, not realizing that one of them was still driving and just realized that there was another car, which deliberately drove very fast than the speed of the car they were using.

Too late to move out of the way, their car had already been hit. But the driver still stepped on the gas pedal, really wanting to make the target crumble slowly as well as the car he was using. Ignoring the panicked gazes of his four targets.

Huh, I don't know why it was lazy to run so it used one of its cars.

Kean, anti-vehicle. But adept at driving a car and once used very wildly. Evidently, still continuing to step on the gas pedal was lucky that the big road the target was traveling on had few vehicles passing by.

Those who just passed, were forced to brake suddenly. When they saw a collision that was done intentionally. Also, not wanting to get involved, they chose to reverse direction and move away.

The target's car was getting dented, just as the one used by Kean was badly damaged at the front. That's not what made Kean continue to step on the gas pedal, but seeing the target car's engine was badly damaged and smoke began to come out.

Will it explode?

This time Kean didn't kill directly. For some reason, he wanted to go through an intermediary-the car. Just as he managed to corner the target's car, which was already heavily damaged and filled with smoke, Kean opened the car door and got out—walking casually away from the area.

His footsteps immediately accelerated, as the sound of explosions began to be heard. Afterwards, he returned to his leisurely walk, not caring about the fate of the four targets and the car that he had suddenly used to explode.

The important thing was to finish.

"Even if you don't do it right away, it's a relief."

Kean was about to change targets, but his brain was again forced hard to remember his current boss Alex. He managed to control himself normally, and forgot about the memory that made his emotions overflow.

His cell phone rang again, Alex was calling him.

[Already?]

Kean was silent for a moment. "Yes." After deactivating it, he went back to walking leisurely away from the area of his assassination plan.

No matter, there were many vehicles that stopped to look. Then turned around—away from the area when someone secured the four victims from Kean. In that instant, Kean quickly eliminated his presence from all of them.

Whether he realized it again or not, his movements were clearly seen by Kendra who was about to leave for some other business. He couldn't believe what she was seeing anymore.

He had really changed—differently.

Kendra let out a rough breath. "Change direction," he ordered the driver, also ignoring the questioning gaze of the secretary who saw her through the glass—coincidentally sitting next to the driver.
