In the bustling university corridors, Sherly found herself inadvertently at the center of attention. The news about Senator Montenegro being her father had spread like wildfire, and students and faculty alike were eager to gain her favor.

This is what she hated the most: being an object to gain his father and brothers favor. So he doesn't want to let it be known that he is Hideous Montenegro's son because he doesn't want to use him. Also, Sherly hates attention. Sherly just frowned as people tried to approach her with extra politeness and offers of assistance. Sherly couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed and overwhelmed.

Alice, Sherly's close friend and the unofficial gossip queen of the university, noticed Sherly's exasperation. She teased Sherly, "Sherly, my dear friend, you're practically a campus celebrity now. How does it feel to have everyone bending over backward to win your favor?"
