Chapter 25: Caught Red Handed

Lilia, fueled by a mix of rage and humiliation, followed Sherly down the corridor. She couldn't take it anymore. She won't let this woman get what she wants from you.

As Sherly reached the staircase, she felt Lilia's grip on her shoulder. She frowned and forcibly turned her around. In a sudden motion, Lilia's hand swung, aiming for Sherly's face. However, Sherly, maintaining her calm demeanor, didn't resist. The slap landed on her cheek, and she turned her head slightly with the impact.

Sherly knew that Lilia was going to slap her, and she only let her do that. It wasn't because she wanted to, but because someone was watching.

Lilia kept shouting. "You insolent brat!" She pointed her fingers at Sherly. "How dare you bring discord to this family? by spreading lies and gossip?"

Sherly remained silent, her gaze fixed on Lilia, who was still in the throes of her outburst. She has no intention of speaking; she only wanted her to scream at her to make her seem bad.
