Chapter 23: His Concern

Sherly opened her phone and received a text message from George. She smiled unknowingly and replied.

Sherly and George found themselves face-to-face after Sherly's hospitalization. They decided to see each other in the restaurant, not far from the subdivision where Sherly is currently living. She's not in her condo since her brothers are worried about her.

George couldn't hide his surprise and concern upon noticing the bandage on Sherly's forehead. Sherly's forehead is one of her assets, as she told herself. That's why he was always surprised when he saw the bandage on Sherly's forehead.

"Sherly, what happened? Are you alright?" he asked, full of concern in his voice.

Sherly, with her characteristic wit, offered a nonchalant response as she shrugged her shoulders. "Oh, just a little run-in with a flying cup." She smirked and then added, "You know, the usual family drama."
