“Good morning, sweetheart.”  A familiar voice greeted me when I opened my eyes. I looked for my mother. She was standing in front of the enormous window and had just opened the closed cream-colored curtain.  “How long have you been here?” I asked, still lying on the bed.  “Can you hear your voice, sweetheart? You sound strained. How much did you spend drinking in a pub?” she asked, walking in my direction.  “I just drank eight glasses of Roberta, mom.
