Take rest for 9 months

We all sat there without moving an inch waiting for the doctor to come. After a while, the doctor arrived and chachu took him to his dad's room. Chachu also followed them and asked us to stay there calmly.

"Bhai, what happened to Mom?" the princess asked me.

"I don't know. Don't worry Chachi went na she will inform us," I said to her and she nodded her head.

After a while, we saw the doctor coming out of the room and chachu, and Chachi followed him.

"Thank you, doctor," chachu said to him and then sent him off.

"Chachi, what happened to Mom? Why does she faint?" Adeep questioned her.

"Soon you all are gonna be called bhai again,". Chachi answered.

"Means we are going to get another brother or sister," Madhav asked in excitement.

"Bhai, means we are also gonna be called di?" the baby girl asked.

"Yes, you both are no more little kids now. You both are going to be called di from now," Ishaan replied. They both clapped in happiness and started jumping all over the room.

"Bhai, why are you not talking about anything?" Jagat questioned me and everyone turned to look at me. Both angels are still in their world jumping and clapping.

"Nothing, I am just thinking," I replied.

"What are you thinking, Adwith?" I heard both Dad's and chachu's voices from the door. I turned my head to see them and they both came inside and sat in front of me.

"what happened? What are you thinking so seriously?" They questioned me.

"Nothing much Dad. I am thinking about mom. In the first pregnancy, we had triplets born, In the second she gave birth to twins and now she is pregnant again. I  am thinking how many are going to be born and can she take this again," I answered back.

" With, let me tell you one thing. Whether we are single, twins or triplets is not dependent on us. It was decided by god. We are just doing whatever he plans for. She can take this pregnancy and we all are there to look after her. After the baby is born you are there to take care of her/him.  It's just you are worried about your mom."

"Yes, I will take care of them," I said, adoring all my brothers and sisters.

"When will mom wake up?" I questioned Dad.

"She may wake up at any time. I came here to ask for something for her to eat or drink," Dad said to chachu.

"What happened to me? Why am I feeling hungry now?" we heard Mom's voice from the door.

"Oh, you woke up? How are you feeling now?" Dad questioned her.

"I am fine now. I didn't understand why I vomited or why I fainted?" She questioned.

"Oh, that's nothing to worry about. Come and sit here," Dad pulled a chair for her. She frowned and questioned,

"I am asking what happened and why are you asking me to sit?"

"First sit, I need to say something very important to you," Dad said.

She sat and then looked at Dad. I went to the kitchen and brought her a glass of water and passed her.

"Now what's this? Why are you all behaving weirdly? Can someone say what happened and what's happening with you all," she again questioned with irritation.

"Don't be In a hurry sis, please drink that. You need to keep yourself strong," my Chachi said.

"Strong? Myself? What happened that I needed to be strong? Is everything fine?" She questioned and tension was evident in her modular tone and on her face too.

"Nothing happened, the doctor said," Dad said and paused and we all are looking at Dad and Mom not understanding what was happening.

"Now why are you taking a pause? what did she say?" she again questioned her, Dad just looked into her eyes.

After a while, she took Dad's hand in hers and said,

"Are you thinking that I can't accept any serious news? Is it something serious?" she questioned him smoothly.

"Yes, it's a very serious matter, " Dad said. She took a long breath in and out and then sighed and said,

"Whatever it is please spill it out, I am ready to take any news," Mom replied. I want to say nothing happened and I am gonna get another sibling but, there is a rule at our home. While the elders are speaking, we kids must not open their mouths. So, we all are sitting with a confused looks and observing them.

"The doctor said...that you need to take rest for 9 months," Dad answered.

"What? rest for 9 months? What happened to me and why only for 9 months?"  She asked and then after 2 minutes she again said,

"What? What did you say? Come again, rest for 9 months? It means I am," she said and paused and her right hand went to her stomach.

"Yes, you are," Dad said to which she had happy tears in her eyes.

"Are you serious?" she again questioned dad.

"Yes, I am damn serious about it," dad said, and then she smiled and cried at the same time.

"Di, from now on you are not allowed to work," my Chachi said.

"But, the whole work will be on you alone," mom said.

"We will call back all of our maids and chefs, we are paying them for fun and we are doing all the work," Chachi said.

"They didn't stop coming, we wanted to do everything like normal people so, we asked them not to come and we are paying them so they won't search for other places. They can come over whenever we call and coming to the money we had lots of money by god's grace," Mom said.

"Ok, now no more arguments on this we are going to call them back and you are taking a rest. You both will take a rest," Dad said.

"But, ju\iju, I can work na. Di will take rest," Chachi said.

"No need, I never wanted you both to work but, because of her stubbornness I have to accept but, now I am not gonna hear anyone," Dad said in his firm voice like sending his order.

Mom and Chachi sighed at his words.

     "Mom," I called her.

She turned to me and said,

    "Yes?"

"Mom, this time I want a sister, please," I said. Hearing me, Mom and Dad laughed. Mom stopped her laughing with great effect and then asked me,

"You already have two sisters. Why are you not asking for a brother?"

"I have only two sisters, see, I have 4 brother's means the sister's count is less than na and sisters are always angels," I replied.

"Are your brother's devil's?" Chachu questioned. All my brothers look at me.

"No they are not devil's but, they give me a hard time. One doesn't want to get out of bed and the other says silly reasons for not getting out of bed even after being awake, one is a bookworm while the other is a game lover. See my sisters they will wake up by themselves and then they will get ready too. So having a sister is a real blessing," I said to which everyone smiled.
