Chapter 19

Louis POV

This was a great birthday after all. I got to spend my birthday drama free. This was the first time Derrick did not show up and ruined my day. Planning to stay away from Dad until this weekend to dodge all the unnecessary arguments or bullshit.

Friday Morning:

Trevor and I skipped school to set up our weaponry. I was 100 percent positive that Derrick was going to make an appearance. Our first stop was to meet Dr. Johnson at the hospital. She gave us the wolfbane darts for the tranquilizer firearms. Dr. Johnson informed us, patrol members will be waiting in a black four sedan on the north side of the territory. They were going to take us to Atlantic City.

We snuck around the territory hiding animal feces and smoked wood chips along our route to hide our scents. Then we practiced hand-to-hand combat just in case we needed to fight trained warriors on our way out. Going over the strategy one last time before the party.

Friday Night :

The party was i
