Prologue

Nichole

I was only several centuries old when the first Blue Moon wolf was about to be born. A Blue Moon wolf is a rare and powerful being coveted by all. She will give her mate power beyond their wildest dreams. I am the first witch ever to walk this earth and the best friend of Selene, the Moon Goddess, the creator of the werewolves, children of the moon. Selene came to me before the first was born asking me to help her change their fate.

"Nichole, my dearest friend, I'm so glad that you are here. I need your help." She said the second she appeared in my sanctuary. I hated the fact that she just pops in. She has ruined a few spells of mine but with the quivering of her voice, I know this has upset her.

"Selene, what happened?" I asked as I flashed to her side. "You know ill always help you if I can." I wrapped her in a soft hug trying to calm her enough to speak.

"The most powerful of my beloved creatures, the one who is supposed to unify them and bring them prosperity and peace," she took a breath steading herself before continuing. "She is to be born on the next full moon. Fate just came and told me that she will end tragically." She slumps to the ground and begins to cry again. "She wouldn't elaborate on her words. I need her to survive." she said before breaking down again.

"Calm down Selene. I will do everything to keep her alive." I reassured her. "I will get to them before she is born. You should go rest till the full moon. When I call upon you in the spell make your presence known on the moon. We will seal her powers to hide her." I stand her back up and smile at her. "Stay calm and think. You know what you can to do to combat fate." I said hugging her.

"Thank you Nichole. I treasure your existence." she said and faded away.

I wish we could have foreseen the horrors each of those poor wolve endured. I would have convinced her to not create her. For two millennia I have tried to help change their fate. The most recent female was taken by the vampire race and forced to produce hybrids. The hybrids never lived and they killed her. The vampire race was killed off by the wolves led by her true mate. They didn't kill the one vampire that had committed the atrocious deed of stealing and raping her. He was hurt badly and retreated to his family tomb to recover.

He had the help of my twin sister Natalie. She put him in a magical sleep, he would only awaken when the next Blue Moon wolf was born. I hate that I am related to that vial creature. She has always been evil, constantly honing the dark arts against the Gods' wishes. I know what she is preparing for and I have to help protect this female. Selene's powers are waning, if this one dies the connection between Selene and her creations will be lost forever. Selene will be forgotten and disappear just like the other forgotten gods. once she disappears completely from memory her creatures will be erased from the earth.

Selene came to me just like whenever she needed my help to intervene with their fate. This time she dropped a bomb of a situation on me.

"I'm making two this time." She said bubbling with joy.

My jaw dropped open. "What? You can't! You will die if we can't change their fate." I screamed at her. Then it hit me I knew what she was going to do. "Ooohhh, I see. You seriously think tempting fate with your life will solve this?" I scoffed and shook my head at her. Her smile widened at my realization.

"It will work. Also I will be giving them all of the powers of the previous incarnations." she beamed as she spoke. "True Mates, powerful, perfect." she began to shine brightly with each word.

"What is the plan?" I asked sitting down in my favorite chair.

"I need you to help me seal her powers. Once I place them both I need you to be in both their lives." she became serious and continued. "They will grow up together but, she can not know she is a werewolf till it's time to break the seal." she said.

"I'll take care of that. Sooo, when will they be born?" I wondered how long I had to prepare.

"In a couple of centuries," she said. "I'll leave you to it. I need to gather strength till it's time." she smiled at me. She began to fade and said "I treasure your existence." her usual farewell. It always brought a smile to my face. I treasured hers as well. well having a few centuries to prepare was going to be helpful.

Looking around my sanctuary to commit every detail to memory. I will have to recreate it perfectly so that when he wakes up and comes looking for me he will be deceived long enough for me to escape. I gathered what ingredients I would need to hide my true sanctuary and the other spells I will be placing to put my part of the plan into motion. Taking one last look at my home I sighed. I will miss this place. I closed the door behind me and began my spell to conceal its location.

After I finished the spell I began the tracking spell I knew by heart. It was easy peasy to locate my horrid sister. She was at his old castle hiding till her master awoke. His family tomb is not far from her. I know the perfect place to make my illusionary sanctuary and begin the next thing on my list. I transported myself about 600 miles due east of the tomb.

This was the perfect place. It was a small clearing in the forest, remote and full of life. I could make it a permanent place for me after all this is over. Wasting no time I began my incantation to create a small cottage. It was cute and almost perfect. I tried my best to refrain from making it real, it was only an illusion for now. When I entered the cottage, I finished the spell and opened my eyes again and it was like I was at home again. I smile crept slowly across my lips.

Time to get to work I thought. I began to put the ingredients I would need to make a puppet of myself on the table. It would have to incubate for at least a century before it would be ready to take my place here and wait for him to awaken. I molded the clay figure to my specifics and placed it in the cauldron with the rest of the formula. Placed the lid on to seal the mixture and figure in till it was ready.

Two centuries later

I was reading by the window when Selene popped in as usual. It never caught me off guard because I could feel the changes in the air right before she appeared. I just smiled as I continued to read my book.

"Its time!" she squealed and jumped up and down like a little girl about to get something special.

"Is it?" I replied coyly. I looked up to see a frown on her face. All I did was laugh and I could feel the air change with her mood. "I know I know. terrible joke." I said trying to kill my laughter.

"Here is the location of the two families. In six months they will be born. I will meet you there so we can seal the females powers." she said with a serious tone now.

I nodded and stood. "My dearest friend, we will not let what has happened in the past to happen again. We will keep you alive." I said.

"Fate won't win this time." she confirmed before closing the distance and embracing me in a huge hug. "I treasure your existence." she whispered.

"And I, yours." I replied before she vanished from my sanctuary.

I began to get my things in order for the trip and the spells. This war with fate will end this time. Peace will come to her creations and her power will return. I opened the cauldron and released my puppet. It was the spitting image of me as I am now. It will not age like any normal being. I cast a spell to give it the knowledge it needs to survive and speak to him when he arrives. All that preparation and I am still afraid something will go wrong.

I left my puppet to watch the house and travel to the pack that the blue moon wolves will be born in. It took a few days to travel there by horseback. I didn't want them to be overwhelmed by me popping in without announcing myself. When I got to the border of the pack I encountered the border guard and asked to speak to the alpha and then waited patiently for an answer.
