CHAPTER THREE (3)

Tears slipped out of the mother's eyes. "Yes, I have. I know his destiny, the prophecy but, there is always light even in darkness. I will not let my child be killed when I know he can escape his fate!"

The woman stepped closer. "How? His mate, you are being delusional, there was never a mate in the prophecy" she verbalized. "You and I know that the darkness will grow inside of him as he grows older every day and when the time finally comes, he will lose control and the whole world will be destroyed!"

"Please, you have to help me. He will find his mate, she can tame his demon, she will save him." She gulped. "I may not know who you are but, I can see that you have a good heart and you won't watch an innocent child die!!"

The woman sighed sadly. "Your child isn't innocent, he has never been innocent"

"I believe the goddess bought him back for a reason!"

The mother turned and quickly picked up her son. "Please, you have to save him" Without hesitation, she shoved the child into the woman's arms.

Slowly, the lady unwrapped the sheets covering the baby's front, there they saw on his little chest was the shape of a star, it seemed to be growing bigger and glowing silver.

"With his mate, he has a great destiny" the woman stated with a little smile as she looked at the woman encouragingly. "He's beyond the knowledge of men" she continued.

The mother nodded. "His father is a Lycan" she blinked away her tears, trying not to think about her mate, she had no idea of what had happened to him after she had left.

The lady held the child to her chest protectively.

"I want him to have this with him" The mother shakenly took off a necklace from around her neck, it was a shape of a moon, she placed it on the woman's hand. "Something to remind him of us" A shaky breathe left her lips

This was harder than she thought!

"What's his name?" The woman asked.

"His name is Karam" she replied with a sad smile. Never in her life had she imagined her son would have this kind of life.

He was meant for greatness.

Soon, they started hearing the heavy voices of the villagers. They were getting closer!

"They are here, you need to leave!" The mother slowly pushed the woman, telling her to leave.

"What about you?" The woman asked worriedly.

"He is my son, if dying is the only way to save him, then I will do it a thousand times"

"You don't even know me, how can you be so sure that I won't hand him over to them or I can kill him myself," the woman asked a bit confused.

Never had she been trusted this much.

"I trust you, Maye. Now go!"

With a little nod, the woman vanished with the baby.

The poor mother fell on the ground as she wept bitterly. She wept for her cruel fate, her family, her son, and her mate

Not long enough, the villagers finally got to her with touches to guide their way and weapons to kill her and her son.

The nerve of these people!

"Where is the boy?" One of the villagers asked with a yell. He seemed to be the leader of the group.

With difficulty, she stood on her feet. "You will never find him. Mark this day and my words, you will regret the day you tried to kill an innocent child!" She closed her eyes and held both her arms wide open, she enchanted loudly in a completely different language...

"àyyiràkáz iælae æßßm iræb ßiráj hædeedáw!!"

A very loud scream left her mouth as she used her remaining energy to cast a powerful spell. Suddenly, the rain stopped, lightning and thunder also found their way back to where they came from, and lastly, the sky cleared into a bright blue color.

Coughing out blood, she gave a weak smile as she thought about how her son was saved. Slowly she fell to the ground and took her last breath... Or that was what we thought.

To be continued...
