CHAPTER FIVE (5)

Skylar walked down the stairs with giggles decamping her lips with Natalie shadowing from behind, sharing the same smiles.

Skylar still had her hair held up but in a much better and neat bun, a white sundress covering her body to her upper knee with a jacket and a pair of black boots.

The girls came down the stairs, instantly encountering the head Alpha of their pack.

Alpha Dale, leader of the Crystal-Heart pack. He was a man in his late forties with short brown hair and blue, pale eyes. "Hello Girls" he greeted and they bowed at their leader as they stepped down the tall staircase.

"Good Morning Father!" Skylar beamed and the man held his arms open for her and she immediately fell in that embrace, she inhaled deeply of her father's woody scent.

"How is my Princess?" Alpha Dale grilled, tenderly stroking her hair and planted an assuring, fatherly kiss.
