Chapter 68: Explanation

Nolan's POV.

*** FLASHBACK: 30 MINUTES AGO ***

"Martin! Martin!" I continuously turned the pages of the document, my eyes carefully scanning each letter and calling out.

Martin's desk was right next to my office door, so whenever I called loudly, he would come in immediately. However, after calling for the third time with no response, I furrowed my brows and lifted the phone to call the secretary's office.

At this moment, my room door was pushed open without a single knock and the hand holding the phone receiver immediately stopped.

"What are you doing here?"

My eyebrows furrowed tightly, my entire face showing displeasure, but I managed to control my emotions quite well without raising my voice at the person who had just walked in. "Next time, if you want to see me, make an appointment with my secretary. My office is not a place where anyone can come in."
