Chapter Three

Andrew after a few moments of doubting himself and the realness of the wish, the old woman and the family he had seen he walked out of the private jet he had flew in to the mansion he would spend his Christmas in. The mansion he had already been in but now since things seemed to have go on reverse he had to come back to it now.

"Um... Boss man". Clive the driver of Andrew's cars stopped Andrew from going into his car.

"What?" Andrew asked him a little annoyed. He was ready to go see his house so he could see what he was going to do with his life now. He wanted to start with the bet immediately so he could have more time to kill afterwards.

"Well sir." Clive smiled apologetically looking at Andrew. "I don't know how to say this because it might make you mad."

"Well it can't be not important since you've stopped me right from getting into my car and you are stalling me from going home. "

" Sorry sir." Clive licked his lips as if thinking how to tell Andrew what was on his mind.

"Well, it's just that... your mansion isn't there." Clive finally blurted out the reason for stopping Andrew from getting in his car.

"What?" Andrew said looking at him like he was crazy. "Are you joking with me right now?"

"I wish I was but no, I'm not." Clive replied, his voice now even lower than before.

"What do you mean the mansion isn't there?" Andrew asked confused. He had just been there a few hours ago. He had just been there when he had made that stupid deal with the lady in white.

"I don't know sir". Clive shrugged also looking confused about the whole situation. "I got a call from the maid that usually goes to clean the house when you're not there she said the house seems as if it has vanished. It isn't there anymore."

Andrew blinked not understanding what was happening. " Huh?"

"Sorry sir."

"Take me to my house right now. Because you must be joking. You're joking in fact. This is a joke."

Clive looked at Andrew with sympathy. "I'm not joking I swear."

"What?" Andrew was now completely confused. "Take me to my house."

"I'll take you there." Clive said turning around and walking to the door of the car. "But I just want you to be prepared that what I'm saying is true."

"I just don't get it." Andrew said as he got into the car. "The house has been there for years. It's just impossible for it to be gone. Even if someone bought it, there would still be remains of it. There would have been a notification. My father wouldn't just sell my house like that even if he can do rush things. No Clive you've outdone yourself today though. Your silliness is too much really."

Clive couldn't help but smile. "I'm serious." He said not even trying to hide his amusement at the situation. "I'm telling the truth. It's not that I wouldn't want you to have your house there but that's not the situation right now."

"And you're sure you're not joking?" Andrew asked again still thinking that Clive was just doing this to make him panic.

"Yes I'm sure."

"Let's go then. " Andrew said leaning back on his seat. "I'm not going to believe it until I see it."

Clive nodded with a smile . " Well okay then boss man you'll see that your driver Clive never lies unless."

This intrigued Andrew who raised his eyebrow. "Unless what?"

"Unless it's really really important like saving your life or something." Clive winked at Andrew with a grin.

"Now you're just crazy." Andrew shook his head at his driver. "You really are something else."

"Thank you thank you." Clive said with a flourish. "I'm here to provide entertainment as well as being a fantastic driver."

Andrew couldn't help but chuckle. "Sure you are."

"I am! You should appreciate me." Clive said mock pouting.

Andrew sat there on the backseat of his car. Realizing something. Something that he hadn't realized before. Clive was quite a funny guy. Why couldn't he see this before?  Why couldn't he see that he had someone to talk to all along.

"Where do you come from Clive?"

Clive with a confused expression looked at his boss on the car's mirror. "Sir?"

"I mean which part of the country do you originate from? You've been with me for seven years correct?"

" Twelve". Clive corrected with a smirk.

"And I still don't know anything about you."

"Ah well that's because you're usually too focused on work." Clive said lightly. "You've never really asked me to share more about myself."

"That's not true. " Andrew said defensively. "I just don't know if you'd want to share."

"Well I'd love to share. As long as you're interested to know." Clive said looking a bit eager. "So I come from the north part of the country. A small town you may not have even heard of."

"Try me." Andrew said with a grin. "I'm curious. Let's talk about this small town you come from."

Clive grinned. " Well it's a beautiful place. Filled with beautiful treasures. I love home."

"Home?" Andrew repeated with curiosity. "Why not go home then?"

"Well I'm home when I'm working." Clive said with a grin. "I'm home with you."

Andrew smiled at that. "How sweet." He said with a chuckle. "Do you really consider this home though?"

"Well not exactly home. But it's as close to home as it gets." Clive said looking contemplative. "You're more like family to me."

"That's... heartwarming." Andrew said chuckling again. "You're like a brother to me."
