Chapter Eight

Andrew sat there in the waiting room thinking about what his brother had said. Was he scared? Was he afraid of seeing the woman? Why did he feel like he had to see her? Why did he feel like he had to help her? What was it that made him feel so responsible for her?

He stood up and made up his mind. He had to go see her.

"I'm going in." He told his brother. "I'll call you afterwards."

"Good luck". His brother said before he ended the call.

Andrew made his way to the receptionist. "Hi." He said trying to look composed. "I'd like to visit the woman who was brought in here a few minutes ago."

The receptionist gave him a small smile. "Are you a relative?" She asked politely.

"No." Andrew said a little embarrassed. "I just found her on the road and I feel responsible for her."

The receptionist considered this. "I can't give you any information on her."

Andrew sighed. "I know that. But can I visit her?"
