Chapter Sixteen

Andrew turned to face her, his face etched with pain. He gently removed her hand from his shoulder and looked into her eyes. "I loved you too," he said, his voice breaking. "I loved you more than I've ever loved anyone. But you betrayed my trust, and I don't know if I can ever trust you again. I can't stay here, I can't live in this house with you. I'm sorry, but I have to go."

He turned away and started walking again, his footsteps heavy on the snow. As he was about to reach his car, he stopped and took a deep breath. Then,before he knew it as he was about to open his car dooe, the car that was parked outside of the house he heard a scream and a crash. He turned around to see that his wife had ran herself to a passing her that hit her immediately.
