CHAPTER 8

Later that day, Sarah felt a knot in her stomach as she made her way to the news organization's office. She was nervous about the upcoming conversation with her boss, Mr. Stevens.

She didn't know how to explain that the person she had been assigned to write a profile on, who was known for his reluctance to speak to the press, was the same person she was getting married to.

Sarah knew that her relationship with Daniel was going to be an issue, and she wanted to be upfront with her boss about it. She had a lot to lose if her editor didn't approve of her personal involvement with her subject.

As she entered the newsroom, Sarah couldn't help but notice the hushed whispers and curious glances from her colleagues. They knew about her assignment but none of them knew about the current turnout of events and she was grateful for that.
