1- A Great Way To Start The Morning

Elias POV:

I hate my mate.

Right now I’m sitting across from her trying my best to eat my breakfast. But every time she sighs, I can’t help but get annoyed. Now and then, I would look up at her, and every time I did, I could feel my hatred for her growing. It’s always like this, this is why I try my best to avoid her. The ankle-length blue dress she wore was beautiful against her flawless tan skin. Her long brown hair was pulled up into a high bun with diamond pins. Her blue eyes were looking down at her food, her full lips poked out into a pout as she took her time picking through her food like a child. Something she knew annoyed the hell out of me.

Looking at her, I hated everything about her. I know it makes me sound like a dick, but I can’t help it. I hate the way she looks, don’t get me wrong, she’s a beautiful she-wolf, all she-wolves are. But she’s hideous on the inside.

I’m an Alpha King and I need a Queen by my side. But she’s nothing but a grade-A bitch. I don’t understand why the moon goddess put us together it makes absolutely no sense. I love my people and try to be as fair as I can to them, but she wants everyone to kiss the ground that she walks on and tries to rule like a tyrant, of course, only when I’m not around. There’s not much I can do about it but limit her power to rule. But she still manages to find some poor soul to torture.

Like the humans, she treats them like shit and then expects them to worship her like a goddess. I also know that she’s being a grade-A slut and sleeping around with every Dick, John, and Harry. Not only because I could feel it through the bond. But because I’m not stupid, I’m the fucking King of course I know what the hell is going on in my kingdom. In my own house at that.

When she first cheated two years after we mated, my wolf was pissed but decided to give her another chance. But after the fourth time, my wolf gave up hope, and the more she cheated, the more the love both me and my wolf had for her turned to hatred. She lied to us, deceived us, and cheated. And I didn’t give a shit about her anymore.

She sighed loudly again, and I clenched my jaw in annoyance, but I continued eating I didn’t have time for her right now. But again, she sighed, this time even louder than the last time. I growled loudly and slammed my hand down on the table causing a crack in the clean solid oak dining table, she was used to my outburst, so she didn’t even flinch.

“What, Dianna, what can you possibly want so damn early in the morning!!” I yelled highly annoyed.

“First, I would like for you to lower your damn temper.” she said, still picking through her food her bitchy 'I don’t give a fuck' attitude was just radiating off of her.

Whether she was a queen or not her disrespectful attitude pissed my wolf off and made my eye twitch in annoyance.

“Watch yourself, Dianna,” I growled, “You may be a queen and my mate, but I am still an Alpha and your king, you will fucking respect me, or I will wrap my fingers around that fragile little neck of yours and snap it.”

I saw her visibly stiffen, it seemed to get her attention then she cleared her throat.

“Second, I just wanted to know if you really banished Frederick.” Her voice this time was softer.

I looked at her for a second, then laughed and continued eating, still chuckling between each bite. The annoyed look on her face was priceless.

“Did you, Elias?” she asked.

I looked at her and grinned. The grin was evil and held a sinister meaning behind it. “Do you really want to know?” I asked, crossing my arms and leaning back in my chair.

She didn’t say anything, just nodded.

“Well, if you must know,” I started as I picked up a napkin and wiped my hands and mouth clean. “No, I didn’t have him banished.” I said as I got up to leave. Then I walked to the door leading out of the dining room, but before I left, I turned and faced her. She looked relaxed, almost relieved. She even had a smile on her face, and I wanted to wipe that smile right off her fucking face. And I knew exactly how to do it.

“I didn’t have him banished, I killed him by breaking his neck,” I said and watched as the color drained from her face the arrogance and bitchyness that was once there was replaced with fear and horror. I loved every moment of it, so I continued. “But not before I cut his dick off. I mean, It’s a fair trade for having a royal affair with the queen, right?” I smirked. The last thing I saw before I turned and left was the sadness in her face and her teary eyes. And I couldn’t help but smile to myself.

What a great way to start the morning.
