Chapter 231

Bailey's POV

I looked at Zane. The blue flames around him were bright and imposing but I wasn't scared of him. I looked at Grey's body that lay in the corner. He had used his last breath to save me. I owed him my life and I was ready to die for him.

"A little transformtion will do you no good, little pup. Get ready to join your mate."

I was silent and stared daggers at him. I watched his every move. The forest was still and the night was in full glory but the light from both of us gave the sky a mixture of light; the colours blue, green and gold clashed beautifully in the sky, lighting it up in a intricate dance.

There was calm and all was still. It felt like the entire forest had stopped to watch us. Even the breeze had stopped blowing and the birds had ceased their chirping and were waiting for our showdown.

Then he charged. His black fur whipped behind him and the blue flames encircling him got even brighter as he ran full speed towards me. I didn't move however, and dug my claws
