Chapter 234

Bailey's POV

I watched almost breathlessly. The light was going out quickly but Grey was still not awake. What was he doing?

I placed a hand on his chest, wishing and praying and finally, the light went out. It was over. I felt my heart shatter. He didn't make it. I lowered my head and began to cry. Grey was gone.

Suddenly, I felt his chest heave a little. I looked up quickly and he took a gasp of air. His eyes were still closed tight but he was alive! The doctors around me were astonished and looked at me in surprise but I only had eyes for Grey. My eyes were glistening with tears as I watched his wounds slowly heal. It was going to take a while but he would recover fully. He was badly injured.

I turned to the doctors and they were all wide eyed.

"He will be fine. I don't know when he will wake up properly but he needs a lot of rest. As much as he can get."
