Chapter 39 - Alliance with the vampires

Sharon heard the bedroom's door close quietly. She didn't need to ask who it was, she could sense Gordon a mile off and she could feel his emotions inside her head. She swallowed down the lump in her throat.

Gordon stood at the foot of the bed, idly staring at her open suitcase. "Are you almost ready?" he asked quietly turning his brown eyes to her.

"Yes," she answered equally as quiet dropping her bag of toiletries into the case. She watched Gordon close and set it down on the floor.

She stood up from her bed wrapped her good arm around his neck and gently brushed her lips against his in a brief, loving kiss. "I am so proud for everything you had said and done in the meeting. Such a great leader you are."

His arms banded around her and he slanted his mouth harder against hers, his tongue delving inside to play with hers as his body hardened and he wondered if they had enough time to have a little private moment together before she left. Their impending separation was coming soon and h
