Chapter Fifty Four

It had taken me a week of planning to get out of the house. No one had noticed, mainly because Ace was still occupied with his lover in the master bedroom.

I had not seen him for days.

But with the help of Anna, I had finally managed to get out of the house.

I wasn't going to stay in this hotel for long, I didn't have enough money to stay there. But I had a few bucks that could sustain me for a day or two.

I was about to unpack my clothes when the door bell rang, maybe my food was here finally.

I immediately rushed and opened the door.

It wasn't room service for sure.

I looked up, way up, at the tall, forbidding man who was standing in the doorway of my hotel room. His muscular frame was displayed to perfection by the tailored black suit he was wearing. But the suit was where any semblance of civilization ended.

His expression was inscrutable, his dark eyes blank, his lips flattened into a firm line. His squared jaw was clenched tight, the tension mirrored in his stance.
