CHAPTER FIFTEEN

“Miss?” The police chief’s voice rang in her head, disrupting her thoughts. Avery shook her head, dismissing any thoughts of revealing her kidnap. She couldn’t believe she was already having thoughts of revealing the identity of someone who did nothing against her.

Although she was upset that she was taken against her wishes, Avery knew better than to tread recklessly. She had no idea what the stranger was capable of and seeing that the mercenaries seemed to be working for him, who could say he probably did not have an army of trained vampires, working for him as well.
