Chapter 4: The Gamble

I am awakened by a soft hand caressing my face. I hear my name being called and look up into the eyes of Nikolai. I must have fallen asleep somewhere during our drive to the restaurant.

“Hey sweetheart, I hate to wake you but we’re here.” He tells me gently “Are you ready to go in?” He asks and I nod.

“I’m so sorry for falling asleep. I guess I didn’t get enough sleep last night.” I tell him. I hear him mumble something under his breath and I instantly wonder if his sleep was as affected as mine was last night.

“Well we can just get it to go if you’d like.” He tells me.

“No, that’s okay. I’m enjoying my time with you.” I tell him. I in no way shape or form want this day to end. I’ve had such a nice time with him and he, as usual, has been the perfect gentleman.

“I’m enjoying my time with you as well.” He says while giving that panty dropping smile and it melts my heart. We get out and we go inside of what could only be called a hole in the wall. The atmosphere is nice and homey. W
