Oh my!

I had reported all I witnessed on my way back home to my mother and brother, and they both seemed happy and grateful for the kind gestures the woman showed towards me.

The first thing I did on getting home was to pull a call across to the woman and thanking her for what she had done. We talked throughout the night and I shared my problems with her.

She promised to help me a job at that night, and I couldn't be more than happy

Today, which is the D-Day I scurried up from my bed, immediately a fugitive smell hit my nose, I noticed smoke hovering about my room when I looked up.

I  shivered! The kitchen must be where this is coming from

"Mother!!"

Due to the level of fear I'm currently experiencing, every hair on my skin is straight.

I tried to run and spangled as much as I could. The home was filled with smoke, and I could hear Ethan, my brother, speaking to Mother.

"Mom, you shouldn't be seen cooking in the kitchen anymore." He lamented.

The Moment he caught sight of me, he sighed and said, "Take her outdoors with you till they dissipate away from the home."

I exited the home after hearing what he had say, I carried her into the backyard garden and sat her down in the designated spot while occupying the empty seat next to her.

Without saying a word to one another, we remained in that position for five minutes. She grinned and said, "I'm sorry," while gazing into my eyes.

"Mom, why do you have to do this? after receiving many warnings not to enter the kitchen." I said

These warnings started when the doctor advised us that it's not good for her condition right now since she is suffering from Alzheimer.

Ability to forget something easily.

Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills.

The problem arose during the time of my father's death due to stress, depression, and  lack of sleep.

Because of this, we forbid her from doing anything that might have a danger impact on her or the house because she might forget to remember.

"You're suffering from Alzheimer's, Mom! You should distanced yourself from the kitchen." I muttered.

I saw she was a little bit sober when I looked at her. She murmured, "I just felt like doing something nice for you all today because you've been the one doing it all this time.

I can see what she's trying to communicate here; it must be really upsetting to feel as though you can no longer do the things you enjoy, but she must follow the doctor's orders.

"Oh Mom! I can relate to your emotions, but you must follow the instructions, and I'm not complaining." I picked up one of her hands and placed it on my palms before speaking.

"You're right, but keep in mind that my veins are filled with blood. Sorry, even when the impulse to cook strikes, I won't do that again." I grinned as she stated this.

"Thanks, Mum, and I promise that as soon as I have the funds for the surgery, you will resume doing what you love doing in addition to cooking." Putting my head on her shoulder, I said.

I wanted to cry when she smiled, but I restrained myself. This isn't my mother; this is the illness that she has, and I missed her so much

Her concern, love, and affection for us have all vanished. We no longer see that. I'm eagerly anticipating her recovery from the terror illness.

I called out "Mom" and looked directly into her face. She nodded and told me to continue speaking.

"I'm meeting the nice woman today; she offered to get me a job." My words were met with a smile on her face.

"Wow! As you said, she's a genuinely nice person. What time will your meeting be?" She enquired.

"Well! We're scheduled to meet this evening at around 5:00." She nodded in response to my comment.

"Good! Good luck, I hope."

We immediately started laughing as I grinned and said, "Thanks, Mom."

I took her back inside when the smoke was out of the house after several hours of conversing, relaxing, and chit-chatting between the mother and daughter while enjoying the ambience.

I hurried out of the room carrying a small bag as the time for the scheduled meeting was about to strike. I was wearing a blue crop top and a pair of jeans.

I approached Mother and Ethan who were both seated on the same couch as they were both watching a program on the screen. “How do I appear?" I inquired before whirling around so they could see my outfits.

"You look beautiful, my love." She praised and I quickly kissed her on the cheek.

"Ethan, watch out for Mom while I'm gone, and Mom, please don't try to do anything that would threaten your life," I said before heading over to place a kiss on her cheeks. She smiled and nodded.

"Don't worry, I'm with her, she is secured." My brother said with a chuckle as I turned to face him.

I immediately went back to where we originally met, I could see her Rose automobile parked off the road. The woman and the driver had exited the vehicle and were standing there.

"Good evening, ma'am." They sighed in relief as I gave them a greeting. "Young lady, you are not on time." She queried.

I worry-scratch my head, "The time passed too quickly, ma'am. Sorry, it won't happen again." She nodded as I spoke.

"Hello, Emma!" The driver welcomed me, I said "Hello, Jonai."

"Let's leave so we can get him caught up before going to the golf training." She suggested. Perhaps she's referring to where she's taking me to.

"You're right, ma'am," Jonai said as he opened the back door for the woman and I sat in the front. He smiled as he slid into the driver's seat and started the car, sharing the road with other vehicles.

The ride was quiet and peaceful until the woman spoke up. "You don't bother to ask for my name? Am I that terrifying to you?"

"No, ma'am, there's no need for me to ask for your name when I've already seen it on your business card." I responded, and she exclaimed, "Oh!"

"Last time we spoke on the phone, you claimed to be a graduate. What do you study?" I returned my gaze to her face as she inquired. "Business Administration!"

"That's what I learned in school."

"Oh, that's great." She claimed, and I concentrated on the road. Knowing the fact that I might be able to get a job today made me smile. I really hope it's a really nice job with a heartwarming pay.

I really need the money for Mother's surgery. I could hear horns coming from the car, and it abruptly changed direction to a massive building.

Mansion!

No! This should be called a castle, in my opinion. Are they from the Royals families? I caught a glimpse of the woman in the rearview mirror. I quickly took in the expansive view in front of me.

They exude wealth. So there's a structure like this in Pullman. Oh my goodness!
