Jayden's POV"You've sighed up to ten times and I've only just ordered my coffee, is there something bothering you?" The last man standing from the four tone sneaky match in the hotel room said as he leaned forward to drink his coffee using a straw. He had his right hand wrapped in a bandage and held in a strap and a couple of plasters on his face. He was wearing a suit too expensive and misfitting for this rundown coffee shop but the location wasn't a usual one either, because it was rare to find a coffee shop with over washed paintings on both the outside and inside and old wooden chairs for the guests who had expensive high grade cars parked on the outside. The location was difficult to find on the map as well. "You're either lost in thoughts or ignoring me, but j must let you know that if you hear me out, there is a ninety nine percent chance that you would find a solution in the conclusion that we come to together

"I'm sorry I pushed you to him. I was wrong and foolish and I thought-" "Actually," she placed her head on my chest and wrapped her hand around my waist, "it's not your fault. I should have known he would do something like that." "No Chloe, you couldn't have known such a thing. There was no way for you to," I patted her head which she shook sideways. "No, it's not his first time," she said and that hit me in a place that unsighted rage and hatred for that basted, but I had to tone down my killing intent as Chloe needed to calm down. "What do- fuck Chloe, what didn't you tell me?" I gripped the door hold tight as I needed to put a hole into something. "He apologized and i thought, I thought he changed. I just didn't think he was going to be that forceful. I was really scared, Jayden," she started to sob so hard that I went into comforting mood. All my anger vanished as my top priority was to wipe her tears.

Chloe's POV"You don't have to do this, Chloe, in fact, I don't want you to. Just rest and-" "It's fine, Jayden, I promise," I got off the bed and pulled away the duvet I had wrapped around myself. "I know, but it's your mother. She's always demanding and stuff and I just don't want to put you around people that don't make you comfortable anymore, I could honestly pull them out of your life is you want," he said and I shook my head as violently as I could to get the message of my disapproval across. That would be my night mare coming to past and I couldn't afford for him to have blood on his hands. "If you're so concerned you can come with me. So far, Shawn hasn't made mention of Anthony that happened to my parents and my mother has never really gotten violent with me," I smiled at him but his pout remained. "I just want to squeeze your cheeks so much, my big baby," I got on tip toes and pinched his cheeks. 

"How dare that lazy nurse tell me that I'm too agitated and who is she to call my husband a patient?" My mom was close to locking the doctor's coat on his neck when a hand reached forward and stopped her. "Stop it," Jayden scolded as he firmly grasped her wrist, his expression stern yet understanding. "Why? They won't let me see my husband, your father! How can they be so cruel. You, how can you support them?!" "Because we are not lazy and are trying our best. If you will come to my office, I will brief you about the situation when he came in, because to tell you the truth, his chance of survival is-" "Shh, don't tell me that, my husband is a fighter, so it doesn't matter your stupid chance of survival," she sneezed and Jayden hurriedly pulled his coat, ready to cover her with it when I heard footsteps approaching and turned to the back. I didn't know how to react when he jogged forward and ran up to mom.
