CH20 The Witch
Continuing Juliette's POV: "The town witch will know what to do," my mom explained. "The best part is... they'll obey what I ask them to do since I'm Luna. You can have anything you want my dear... as long as you have power. You should remember that when you are queen." "I never knew the pack even had a witch... What is she? An outcast?" I asked as I looked out the window to see the limo driving out of town and towards the woods. Of course... We're leaving town. No wonder why I didn't know anything about it. Knowing mother... This is another thing she's kept a secret. "The town witch has lived in the pack for many generations," my mother explained. "He mostly keeps to himself." He? I didn't know witches could be males. "Why don't we call him a wood fairy if he lives away from the town?" I asked and snickered to myself. My mother rolled her eyes as if I annoyed her by my question. She made it clear by the following silence she w

CH21 Suspicious Mate
Jossie's POV: Casimir was taken away right before I fell asleep. I lost the energy to stay awake. I didn't dream this time. I only woke up to the hall's door beeping to alert someone was coming onto the hall. I felt my chest pounding as I couldn't recognize the voices that were coming down the hall. My thoughts ran to wonder if Casimir confessed. If he did, would he lie and say I helped him? I focused on listening into their conversation as their voices echoed. The footsteps were coming closer. "The damn brute has yet to confess." "How much longer are they going to keep the murderer in that room?""Maybe they'll have better luck with the wolf-less mut they brought in right afterwards...""What's her name again?""Bitch." "Lowly omega.""No... I got a better one... traitorous whore." I tensed up as I heard their footsteps pass by the cell's door. They were laughing. I whimpered as I prayed they wouldn't come in here. I hid under the pillo

CH22 Violent Sister
Continuing Jossie's POV: Zeke took me into the showers where I was able to privately take a quick one. He got me a new jumpsuit to wear before he brought me into my father's old office. My sister was sitting down behind it and scrolling down something on social media via her phone. She glanced up at me when she noticed I entered the room. "Zeke, you can wait outside," she told him sternly. "Are you sure?" Zeke asked."What we have to talk about is private," Juliette told him as she waved him off and to leave. "Let me know when you're done," he instructed. I couldn't believe it as Zeke left and locked the door behind him. I walked over to the chairs and sat down slowly. "They made you take a shower?" She asked in surprise. "What for?" "You don't want to know," I told her softly as I looked down into my lap. I heard her sit the phone down on the desk. "So something else was the cause?" She wondered as she got up and came to sit down next t

CH23 Unexpected Visitor
Vee's POV: I spent the day soaking in the tub with a can of wolfweiser. Only to put on comfortable clothes because I was finally able to relax and watch The Bachelor. I had curled up on my love seat with a bowl of kettle corn popcorn and another can of wolfweiser. I was different from the norm. With a movie projector instead of a flat-screen. I was able to stream my shows from my phone to the white sheets hung up. I felt old-fashioned as I loved the feel of the theatre it brought me. Even though I was settled back into my normal routine... I felt lost. It didn't feel right. I didn't feel right leaving Josephine there at that station. Something was eating away at me. In the bathtub I had decided it was because something just... Wasn't right. It was too late to go to the station. But, in the morning I decided to pay Beta Matthew a visit. I just wanted to check in on things. Make sure Josephine was ok. So

CH24 Fatherly Surprise
Matthew's POV: "Sir there was an unknown car parked outside of town. We had it impounded. Here are the coordinates it was found and licence plate number," Gabriel the same guy from before came up with a report to drop off by my desk. There were attached photos of the vehicle. The plates were familiar since they were from the king's territory. That's not good. We have an unwanted guest in the territory. "Gabriel, will you put out a pack alarm?" "What should it say?" "Say we have an unannounced guest in the territory." "Yes sir." "Say... If anyone is harboring the trespasser... they will be punished accordingly." "Yes Beta Matthew," he said as he bowed respectfully. "Do you think someone is harboring a trespasser?" "I hope not," I told him. I watched as he left to get the job done. But, right after he left Veronica walked up to the desk with a huge smile on her face. She ha

CH25 Secret Lovers
Continuing Vee's POV: I had to stop and get gas at the old 'Pit Stop' which was a mile outside of town. It wasn't that far from my cabin. I had to get back to Nathalie as fast as possible. The longer she's alone the higher the risk of her being caught could be. I didn't even want to think of a possible pack member stopping by and catching a whiff of her scent. Things would be over instantly. I walked into the old store. The only way to pay for gas was at the cashregister inside. I picked up two chocolate candy bars. Telling Nathalie the big news would have to be done by eating chocolate. I paid for the gas and candy bars before heading back out to my car. I took the case file with me inside when I got back home. Nathalie was sitting on the couch drinking a can of wolfweiser and watching The Bachelor. I held up the two candy bars I bought and sat down next to her. I threw the case file down on the coffee table. "Hey sweetie," I sighed out.

CH26 Rogue’s Eye
Josephine's POV:I was in the depth of despair. Not sure where reality and my imagination separated. I was still in my cell. The same boring gray cement blocks and the bolted heavy door that kept me trapped. Across from me was tripping. Glitching almost. The room was different. I could see both sides. The close side showed me the cell's door while the long side showed me my own image against the wall set up in my bed. This is not normal. This is trickery. This was not right. I knew in the pit of my stomach something was spilling over from the other side. I was looking out at a ghost reflection of myself. It didn't feel like me. But, it was a copy. I was against the cell's door at the same time, also in my bed. I was with red eyes that glared me down. I was scared... But, my reflection was angry. My hands trembled but the reflection was still. Maybe I was going insane here. No longer able to perceive tim

CH27 Break Out
Jossie's POV: I eyed over the uniform of the bitch that's been soaking my floor full of pig blood every night since I've been here. Her name tag told me she was Madison. I felt rage boiling over as nothing could hold me back. I had already knocked her unconscious but that wasn't enough. She needed more done to her. I squashed her eye as if it was a grape. I stepped towards her and leaned down. This wasn't as thrilling as if she'd be awake... I couldn't stand to see her breathing. The very thought that she would get to live through this... Bothered me. Madison was a bleach blonde bitch. I didn't hesitate when I had it locked in my mind. I was going to kill her. I put my hands around her head and squeezed as I thought about crushing her skull in. I was too weak... My hands traveled down her head as I wrapped them firmly across the base. I was snapping her neck before it even occurred to me. It felt good as I watched my first ki

CH28 Black Wolf
Matthew's POV: "You should call Luna April," Zeke whispered to me as we stared at the dead bodies being brought out on stretchers. I caught two girls standing by the ambulance that I recognized were the set bringing food to Josephine everyday. I've been monitoring their behavior since Zeke told me about the blood incident. I leaned in towards Zeke. "Go see what they know," I ordered as I pulled the phone out of my pocket. I felt guilty about the whole situation. I should have made sure the rogue was back in his cell before leaving the station. This was my fault. I trusted stupid people. "Then get me the camera footage." I walked away from him as I dialled April's number and waited for her to pick up the phone. "Matthew? Do you have any idea what time it is? I'm in the tub. This better be good," my sister hissed through the phone. I frowned as I looked over my shoulder to make sure nobody could overhear. "Your daughter escap

CH29 Night Storm
Jossie's POV: We reached a path up to a cabin that had the familiar scents of Veronica written all over it. Casimir let me off when the cabin was in sight. A blizzard had followed us to the cabin. The thick snow storm had covered our scent and tracks here. It was a good time for us to leave when it did. We checked through a window first to make sure she wasn't lying about Nathalie being there. They were sitting on the couch playing a card game and drinking from cans of wolfweiser. I nodded towards Casimir to let him know we were good. I went around front and knocked on the door. Casimir transformed into his human form and leaned up against the side of the house. I blushed as I tried not to look at his body. The door slowly opened until Veronica's eyes met mine and she quickly threw the door open. She eyed Casimir over with disgust. Her eyes scanned the woods behind us. "Were you followed?" Veronica asked as she looked surpris
