21. You can stand?!
“I think he’s alive!” One of the samaritans screamed as he pressed his nose against the cracked windshield of Ross’s car trying to decipher if the occupants were still alive. “An ambulance is on the way.” His wife shouted.  In a few minutes, the loud siren blasted from hundreds of meters away. The paramedics alighted, ready to get to work. They finally pulled the car’s door open before successfully getting Ross and his girl out of the vehicle. “Both unconscious.” A paramedic said to her partner as they wheeled them into the ambulance, unhooking the stretcher as they got in. “Oxygen mask.” She called out and they were all strapped up.

22. Donnie
“Here, put this on.” Dustin handed Donovan a mask which the latter hurriedly pulled on. Dustin followed suit. “Ever shot a gun before?” He asked as he slipped the key into the ignition. He turned it causing the vehicle to roar to life. “Yeah.” “Really?” He looked a tidbit shocked. “Yeah. You seem surprised.” “I am.” “I once worked at a shooting range.” “Oh that explains it.” “Pretty much.”&nb

23. We did it!
“I’m trusting you Donovan.” Dustin said as they pulled up to the front of the house. “You wouldn’t regret it, trust me.” “I hope so.” They alighted from the car and approached the front door. Donovan rang the bell and almost immediately, Liam flung the door open. “Donovan?” He exclaimed in surprise as he pulled the grinning man into a hug. “Hello?” He looked up at a masked Dustin. “Hey.” He replied to the young man. “Donovan.” Ellie screamed at the foot of the stairs immediately her eyes fell on the love of her life, walking through the front door. “Baby!” He screeched as they ran into each other’s arms. “I missed you so much.” He grinned before they kissed. Her unclad legs were around his waist. He dropped her after they had their moment. “Hey man.” Ace said and he exchanged hugs with him and Audrey, everyone mildly unaware of Dustin’s presence in the room, all except from a really inquisitive Liam. “I’m glad you’re back Donovan but are we all going to ignore the masked man

24. Speak of the Devil
TWO MONTHS LATER It’d been two months since Brittany and her kid had been thrown behind bars. Ace was back to his house and Audrey remained in hers. Liam was back at their previous place with the twins and other friends. At this point, Audrey considered them a responsible frat. Donovan and Ellie had never been more in love while sparks seemed to fly between Terry and Liz. There was only one strange development; Ace and Audrey had fallen apart. She’d avoided him for over a month and finally had the strength to confront him. She was headed to his office. His secretary’s desk was empty. “Hi Audrey.” He smirked as she walked into his office. “Well, good afternoon.” She plopped on the couch. “You’ve been acting off.” “You’ve been trying to ignore me for the past month.” “Yeah?” “Why?” “Your whole energy was really putting me off, your vibe was an even sadder story and don’t you even dare try to put the blame on all that went down.” “What? I would never.” He gasped before chucklin

25. Bloody Hell
His eyes fluttered open and he yawned as they darted around. The other side of the bed was empty, she. Was already awake. He stretched before sighing. It was the best he’d slept in a long while, in months. He peeked into the closet and some of his clothes were still in there and were neatly arranged. He grabbed a pair of balcony shorts and a t-shirt before trudging to the bathroom for a quick routine. He brushed his teeth after and got dressed before finger curling his wet hair, shaking it around in the air for volume. His shirt was fitted but not as tight as he remembered. He needed to start hitting the gym again. After a quick glance in the mirror, he walked out of the room and descended from the flight of stairs. She laid on the couch, eyes closed, an arm across her head, shielding her eyes from any form of light. He looked up at the clock. 11:45am. No wonder he felt rested. He hadn’t woken up at this time in a while. “Hey.” He stifled a yawn as he approached her, sprawled out

26. Bad hair day?
Audrey’s POV I rushed into the building in order to beat the clock and the terrible gusts of wind outside. It was my first day at work with… my husband. I mentally cringed at the title. I hurried into the elevator, my hair out of place due to the wind outside. Having my hair out was a bad idea. I hoped no one walks into the elevator while I try to get to my floor and rush to the convenience to fix my hair. Five more floors to go…  I impatiently tapped my foot against the floor hoping the elevator would go faster. Three more floors to go…

27. Sweet Black Jesus!
Anthony sat in the dining area, keeping his grandma company as she made them dinner. “Did Kerry come around?”  “Not at all.” She flashed a sad smile. “Alright.” He smiled as he received a text from Audrey. They’d exchanged contacts. “Had dinner?” He replied. “Is it a girl?” Nona teased with a huge smile plastered across her face. “No.” He chuckled. “Just a friend from work.” “A gir

28. Celebratory dinner
Audrey bumped into Anthony in the lobby as she was headed to the elevator.   “Hey.” He grinned.   “Hi. Good morning.”   They walked into the elevator together.   “Thanks for coming through for me.”   “Don’t mention.” She grinned.   “See you at lunch?” He was about to get off.   “Maybe.” She grinned as the doors closed. The elevator headed to the last floor. She walked out of the elevator, headed to her desk.   Ace was at work already so she made her way to his office after droppin

29. Yes daddy
“Ace?” She frowned.   “What the hell are you doing in my house?” She whispered.   He turned, his eyes adjusting to the light. A cheeky smile crawled up his face as hers came into sight.   “Dre.” He grinned.   “What are you doing here? You almost gave me a heart attack.”   “Where have you been?” He eyed her outfit as he sat up.   “I had dinner with a friend.”   “Which friend?”   “That’s none of your business.”   “It’s defi

30. Good girl
“Good morning.” He greeted her with a smile.   “Good morning.” Audrey replied awkwardly as they exited her house.   Most of the awkwardness was from her end.   They got in their cars headed to the same building. She took the longer route to avoid him.   **    The tension still hadn’t dropped and both men were tired of it. It was as though Audrey had become another person entirely. Ace was even more sick of it.   “Maybe being cold would break her out of her shell.” He thought as he awaited her arrival for today’s work.   A knock sounde
