Careless
I picked up my phone as it buzzed, looking to see who was calling.   Father.  I cleared my throat as I tapped on the screen, answering the call. My nervousness grew as he started speaking. I knew I wasn't allowed to go out unless they had something for me to do, but I had decided to go ahead and do it anyway. I was getting bored in the house, and the tension held between our family was nothing more than stifling.  I just wanted some fresh air.  "Where the fuck are you Athena?" He snarled. I could practically see his facial expression through the screen, filled with irritation and frustration.  "At the park, father," I said as politely

Athena
I continued to play with my knife as I stared at my ceiling, laying limp on my bed. The night had come, and at this point I was just waiting for him to call for me.  "I should probably fix myself up for the mission," I uttered to myself quietly, letting a sigh escape my lips. I got up and walked into my bathroom yet again, grabbing the first aid kit and sitting down on the toilet seat.  I opened it up and grabbed the packet of alcohol wipes and bandage gauze. Setting the kit back on the counter, I opened the packet and pulled out the small wipe. I looked down at the cuts, then back at the wipe, taking a deep breath in.  I don't like this type of pain.  I slowly placed the wipe on the surface of my cuts before sl

Hades
My head shifted as I looked up, my eyes meeting the man standing in front of us. He was tall and muscular with tattoos scattered on each arm; his jawline was sharp and his facial features were crisp. There was something about his demeanor that was just so cold and off-putting, but I couldn't exactly pinpoint anything. I continued to examine him before something in particular caught my attention.  A tattoo was engraved on the lower center of his neck, the tattoo used to identify The Skulls. But that wasn't what threw me off, though. What threw me off was the word tatted right below it.  "Hades"  So that's why his demeanor is the way it is.  I quickly looked back down, realizing who we were standing in fr

Cuts
My eyes fluttered open as I slowly regained consciousness, groaning quietly. As my body squirmed around, I rubbed my eyes, clearing my vision as much as possible. The brightness of the room made me squint, but soon enough I was able to look around.    My pupils moved in circles as I tried to examine my surroundings. There I was, lying on a bed, looking around at the interior of an unfamiliar room. There was a door to the bathroom on one side, slightly open. The walls and curtains were jet black, and the bed sheets were patterned with shades of gray and charcoal. The furniture followed along with the color scheme, and the doors did nothing less. The bed frame was a golden color, as were the designs on the black marble floor. This room was beautiful, and it was big, too. But I still couldn't pinpoint my location.    Then the memories all flooded bac

Pointless
I stared.  Here I was, about to be seen with my pants halfway down with only panties on. Not to mention, I was about to be seen like this whilst trying to fix a now infected wound.  To top it off, by the eyes of my biggest enemy.  I quickly tried to pull my pants up after readjusting my shirt. My fit jeans struggled to cooperate with my hectic speed, and my cut alongside my bandage would only worsen against such heavy friction.  It was pointless.  Midway through trying, the door opened, and my eyes met his.  Callum paused, staring at me with a seemingly confused expression on

Hurt
"Stop hurting yourself."  My eyes shot up, looking at him with both confusion and embarrassment. How could he be so sure that it was me who scarred my palms?  "What do you mean," I grumbled, acting oblivious. I huffed out a breath aggressively and kept my eyes on him, trying my best to seem confident.  "Don't try and act like you don't know shit, you dumbass," he sighed out. My eyes dropped and in an instant, my act was put to an end.  There was no point in trying. He already knew, and he wasn't about to be convinced by whatever silly act I'd try to put on.  "The wounds run inward, up into the center of
