The Warning
Mila and I both returned to our office from the restaurant after filling up our stomachs.   I was so full that I could feel my bed calling me to take that very needed nap.   I yawned while thinking about sleep. I looked at my watch and it was already fifteen past two.   Shit, I have not submitted the files yet. Quickly I attached the files and emailed them to Louisa.    Since my work was done it was time to sit back and relax a bit. I looked at my side and saw Mila furiously typing on the keyboard.   No, she was hitting the poor keyboard.   "Easy tiger, you are going to break that into pieces."   "Says the one who was just doing the same before a few minutes ago."   We laughed at these silly comments.   "Do you need help with anything?" I asked since my work was finished.

First Day at Work gone wrong
“I have someone that wants to talk with you,” Louisa announced.   Who could it be? Can’t be the HR cause I haven't breached any of the contracts and conditions mentioned in the employee guidance book.   “Steve wanted to have a little chat with you.”   Oh, so it's Steve then. Relief flooded into my body knowing that it was not the company HR members trying to unemploy me from the very beginning of my career.   “Sure, I do have some free time to chat with him.”   “I am particularly aware of that, Ms Kingston.” Louisa chided.   What is it with this woman? Why did she have such a corroded impression of mine? And more importantly, how can I even change that?   Louisa turned on the video call and Steve came into the view. There he was sitting in the headquarters office in London and casually sipping a coke.   “Steve!” I exc

Guess what? History was one of my favourite subjects in school. History means so much more than a subject to all the history teachers and history lovers out there. I also enjoyed learning about the history of places when I visit any new place to get acquainted with its essence.   But my history from the previous day was not what I expected to happen.   The first day was a mistake but the second day would be my retake so I should work accordingly.   I chatted a little with Tiffany about Ryan and her relationship. It felt quite happy to learn that both of them are now happy and on the same page.   When I asked about Natasha, Tiffany didn't sound as sour as she used to before. Now that Natasha was out of the picture, it was easy for the love birds and I quote Tiffany "Life has never been better."Finally, the wheels have turned in their direction.   "So did you meet any hot guy there

Blast From The Past
As I was done arranging the desk of my workspace I observed Mila staring at the family photo.   "You do have a beautiful family Tina." Mila spoke, from her cubicle while standing on her tiptoes and poking her head into mine.   "That I do." I smiled in response.   "I never see you posting anything with your Dad though," asked a curious Mila.   If only the answer would be as simple as the question itself!   I have been asked this question countless times. So it didn't faze me when Mila asked about it.   "Do you want the short version or the other one?" I questioned.   "Although I would love to hear the longer version, I doubt whether we have enough time to chit chat or not" she uttered.   "It's okay, I understand. I am glad that you chose the shorter one actually."   I continued "to put it simply, I

No More Hiding
Sebastian Henry Anderson   Chief Executive Officer   I read the nameplate arranged in front of him on the desk.   Olivia was the CEO, right? Then what was he doing here? Looks like my one night stand was going to be my boss for now.   I have only joined this company because I thought Olivia would be the CEO.   But here I am trapped into working myself under him. No pun intended.   Recognition was extremely detectable in his face. But he was scowling at me. Like he wanted to kick me out of this room at any moment.   Not the playful expression that I have always seen him give every time we were together.   Gone was the man who wanted me and could do anything only for my sake.   This man in front of me was not the Sebastian I was acquainted with. There was no sign of emotion resting on his marvellous

A new mission
My conversation with Mom was the best thing that I needed to cheer me up.   She asked me to video call her and show her a glimpse of the apartment. Mom was worried about how I am managing here, to which I updated her about hiring Stella thanks to the efforts of Rupert.   I also told her about Mila and how she tries to cheer me up through these two days.   I asked Mom when she would be visiting here to which she only replied soon. I understand that work was keeping her busy all day and she would come to visit me the moment she gets free.   Mom also disclosed another crucial piece of information about the company, the very same reason responsible for my desire for today.   I recalled the conversation we shared just a few minutes before.   "Is there any news about Olivia, mom? I mean why is she not working here instead of her brother?" I asked quizzically to whi

We could never be friends
The meeting would commence in about forty minutes and I could see the whole department was in some frenzy attitude.   Louisa has been barking orders at us like we are her bitch but then there was Steffanie who was her assistant for a cause and I do really pity her sometimes.   She clears the ugly mess that Louisa leaves behind. The poor girl has to apologise to each employee that faces Louisa's unwanted wrath   And within these two days, Steffanie has apologised to me the most. Now you can actually guess who was Louisa's favourite employee.   Since I had not taken my dose of caffeine, I was feeling a little drowsy and bored at the moment.   I tried to stifle an unnecessary yawn but failed miserably. You can clearly see the boredom in my face.   "You won't believe who just came to our cubicle." Mila perked up.   "And who is this person?" I

Meeting Olivia Anderson
Sebastian walked out before we could even start the meeting. His eyes were solely focused on me and I tried not to make it obvious how much this man affects me and my body.   “Sebastian has called every working person out here to the multi-purpose hall, instead of conducting the meeting like we always do in the conference room, it has been rescheduled to be conducted in the MP hall,” Steffanie announced.   “I see, but are we all invited to this meeting? I mean interns were prohibited before right?” Milla asked.   Good question Mila, I was also wondering about the same.   “Sebastian was discussing in gist about the analysis of files that were done during these two days.”   “And?” Mila asked impatiently.   “Yes, so Louisa has disclosed that the reviews and analysis of recent data regarding the hotels and resorts under our company were done by the interns and yo

New Idea
The official meeting began after Svetlana entered the room. A presentation was given by Louisa regarding the marketing aspects of Elenor Anderson Hotel since its opening.         Sebastian was frequently asking questions, checking and rechecking every nook and corner.         This was the first time I have seen him in his professional get up and to say that I was impressed would be an understatement.         I could see why Mom has expressed that he is an amazing businessman.         After the marketing team's presentation, another two presentations were given by the IT department and financial department.         As for interns, we were asked to note down our observations and the meeting

The following days after the meeting with Sebastian aka the chief executive officer has been one hell of a ride of a giant roller coaster throughout the week.         I have been working non-stop during these days in promoting the Hotel  for its one monthly anniversary celebration.         Work was pretty hectic throughout the week would be an understatement.         This whole crucial work was dropped in the laps of us, interns. Seven of us interns were handling this project under the guidance of Louisa and Braden.         Mila and I were from our marketing department while Amy, Shawn and Sophia joined us from the IT department. Carl and Summer were from the finance department.
