Chapter 10: Drunk Ruth

Samara arrived early in the classroom, but Cristine seemed to arrive earlier when she caught her resting her head on the desk of her chair. "Good morning," she greeted as she went to her seat behind her and sat down.

Cristine raised her head and tilted her seat to look back at her. "What's up?" she greeted back.

"I am fine."

"Hmm." Cristine pulled off her hair, which blocked her face. "Is Kurt still messing with you?"

Samara shook her head. "Thankfully, not anymore," she exhaled a sigh of relief.

Cristine gives it a thumbs up. "Although they made a deal with Jayson, it's a good thing you didn't accept it because you had no idea what they could do to you," Cristine says.

Samara gave a bright and sincere grin and said, "Yeah, I'm really thankful to Jayson. Thank you."

She was quite happy when she began to sense a connection with Cristine. As Jayson had said before, Cristine was thoughtful. Simply put, she's not the type of person to pretend to be close to someone they've just met
