Chapter 3- Hot guys fighting over...yours truly

I had a friend once, in middle school. It didn't last long however because we moved shortly after the friendship began, since then I've just decided to not make friends. It was easier that way. I stared down at my fingers hooked around that of the cheerleader who called herself Frost and I wondered...did somebody hit me on the head.

"We're going to have so much fun," she squealed, leading me towards the parking lot of White Lake. The game ended a couple minutes ago and Black Pond was the victor, no surprise there.

Honestly, I don't even know why they try. They didn't even score.

Frost pulled me towards a really nice car. I didn't really know much about vehicles but it looked like a Porsche. I tugged on Frost's hand pulling her to a stop at the sound of hushed masculine voices. She folded her arms and walked around the car towards them. I followed sheepishly.

One of the guys was the light skin green eyed guy that I had bumped into earlier and the other was a few inches shorter, skin and bones, pale skin and dark eyes. He gave me a bad vibe. Needless to say, I didn't like him and that's a lot seeing that I didn't know him.

"We're done, why can't you get that through your skull," the one I like said, his beautiful face smeared with anger.

"That's just your dad talking," the other guy said in denial.

Frost cleared her throat. Oh shit, was he her boyfriend. No!

"I think you should leave, Michael," she said, her voice sending chills down my spine.

He hissed at her but suddenly stopped as his eyes flickered to my 'are you insane' expression. With one last glance at the nice guy, he left. 2 sets of eyes turned towards me.

"Did he just hiss at you," I asked bewildered.

Frost glanced at her friend and then shrugged. "Psycho," she commented and then began guiding me towards the passenger seat of the car. We got in and they began taking me to their diner. I had considered the fact that this was a bad idea, so I took a couple pictures.

The drive to the diner was surprisingly short.

"Henry, can we talk for a minute," Frost asked, staring him down. I took the message quite clearly and shuffled closer to the passenger door. "Kelly, would you mind waiting inside,x she asked sweetly.

"No problem," I said, getting out of the car immediately after it parked. I spotted the diner, a few feet away from where the car had parked. I started walking in that direction, sparing a glance in the direction of the car. I turned around and suddenly felt my right shoulder being forcefully pushed back. I brought my right foot back to steady myself and glared at the person who just walked right into me.

"Watch it punk," the stupid guy said, eyeing me up and down.

I clenched my jaw feeling objectified. "Maybe you should have been paying attention to where you were going instead of staring at your phone," I snapped. My eyes fell to his phone screen which was way too bright and saw the word 'Dimples'.

I chuckled, " oh, I'm sorry suddenly the prick demeanour makes sense. You've become the baseless, disrespectful, scumbag who you watch on social media," I said.

"Congratu-f-ing-lations, mister," I said, moving my hand frantically, accidentally hitting his phone from his hands.

"My mom's a lawyer," I quickly said before dashing into the diner.

I pause at the door, suddenly getting a few odd looks. I fluffed my dark curly hair and found an empty booth near the back of the diner.

I was losing my mind. What was up with my random bursts of anger. I was never like this last term. Then again last term, I never had Dimples to subtly and unknowingly ruin my life. Posting up on his socials and tagging my alter ego. She was perfect. I didn't want anything sabotaging that. She was my escape.

"I need a drink," I muttered incoherently and in Spanish.

"Ugh, can I get you anything," a smooth voice asked.

"Vodka would be nice," I answered honestly, staring through the stained glass. I turned to glance at my waiter and forgot what existence was. It was confirmed all the boys in Black Pond were drinking something that other boys weren't aware of. What did Stiles used to say...once a coincidence, two is an incident and three is a pattern.

"I didn't know that green eyes were so common here," I stated softly.

The gentleman with the beautiful eyes chuckled and shook his head.

"I didn't either. Aren't you a little too young to be drinking," he asked, crossing his arms causing them to look bigger. The corners of his lip twitched.

"I don't know, how old were you when you first started," I retorted, staring at him. Who am I? A deep chuckle left his lips and he straightened.

"OK, fair enough, now would you like to order something," he said a little serious this time.

"Yes," I replied. I was so tempted to hit him with a 'Si, papí' but this was a public, family friendly dinner. I picked up the menu and pretended to go through it. I hummed softly then smiled.

"I would like a milkshake de chocolate, fries and a beer," I ordered with a straight face, drawing out the words slowly.

The hot waiter shook his head and walked away. Don't you dare look at that ass, Bella. I smiled and glanced away. It was really hard not to look, like, of any gender.

"Hi," a voice said and Frost appeared in front of me. Yes, for a second. I had forgotten that I was invited and not here on my own. I think it was rude that I ordered without them.

An arm suddenly appeared around my shoulder. I glanced at the owner and my eyes met the green ones of a guy. I shuffled over in the booth. More students from Black Pond had arrived. I met a couple curious stares as they walked by.

Frost sat across from me with Henry right beside her. I desperately wished that we could switch seats, not that her brother wasn't hot or anything. It's just that he was a jock and a playboy.

"Oh, yeah Kelly, Brice. Brice, Kelly," Frost introduced pointing from me to her brother and back.

"Hi," he said with a breathtaking smile. Die, temptation, die!

"Hi," I replied timidly.

"This is Henry, my bestie," she said, hugging my heart stopper.

"Nice to meet you," he said politely, extending his arm towards me.

I had never been more excited in my life. Our fingertips touched and I swore I felt a spark of electricity. It was like the world faded from view and it was just the two of us left in the world.

"Cute." Brice commented bitterly. "Hey, dude how'd it go with Michael," he added, completely ruining the moment.

Frost rolled her eyes and opened the menu. Henry clenched his jaw and released my hand, glaring at Brice.

"I ordered fries and a milkshake for myself," I told her quietly. She just shrugged.

"I'm on a diet and these idiots don't mind eating, they'll just stare into each other's eyes for infinity," she said.

I smiled at her joke.

"I didn't know you visited this part of town," she said, staring at me confused.

My waiter came back and placed my chocolate milkshake and fries onto the table. I pulled the milkshake towards me. He glanced at Brice, Frost and Henry. They all started, I mean glared at him. There seemed to be some kind of tension and history between them.

"Christopher," Brice said with venom at the tip of his tongue.

"Brice," Christopher called back with the same sincerity.

I began to question if this was the right crowd for me. If they were what I wanted my first friends in this new town to be. I took a sip of my milkshake to taste that chocolate wonder that would set my bones at ease. Also it's a bad idea to laugh into her drink, especially a short sudden one. I immediately grabbed my napkin.

"I'm sorry. I saw something fun," or should I have said tasted.

The waiter bit his pink lips, trying to hide his smile. He added a special touch to my drink that I appreciated, hopefully it wasn't too much because my mom was in town for the weekend. He cleared his throat and turned to the others.

"Your usual," he asked in his serious tone. Frost was about to say something but Brice spoke before her.

"No, we're fine," he said tensely. Christopher nodded and turned to leave.

"Thank you," I called after him.

"So, Henry is throwing a huge party on Friday and everyone is invited. Including you," she announced.

"Oh, okay. I'd have to ask my mom first. She usually has the whole weekend planned out for us when she visits," I explained. I didn't really know why.

"You don't live with your mom," Henry asked leaning forward.

"Yes but she works in the city. So we only spend time together on her day offs and weekends. We live with my aunt," I explained to him.

I slapped her brother on the hand when he tried to touch one of my curls.

"You can look but don't touch," I said, quickly. He tilted his head, picking at my fries.

"Oh, watch out H, you're about to get replaced," Frost said with a smug smile.

Henry shook his head and smiled. Okay, so maybe I was growing obsessed with his dimples.
