CHAPTER THREE.

for the rest of the week,Alyssa fretted

from upstairs her bedroom, she started down at lucas, who was leaned against the fence making a call, he ran a hand through his head, whoever he was talking to on the phone was pissing him off that she can tell, she remembered all the time they had spent together it still felt like yesterday since Lucas Ramirez had swope her off her feet, only to break her heart

'for you'

he had only said that to rattle her feathers, she knew and the fact that he succeeded to annoyed her more than the comment itself, before she could reply him, her mom had called her and she had been avoiding him since then, she wanted to give him a reply so bad but she was afraid her feelings would get in the way and she would end up telling him she still missed him

when he turned and glanced up at her bedroom window, her pulse went up and she ducked backed. it was like he had eyes in the back of his head, frowning she paced back and forth, why was she hiding in her own home? she should be outside spending time with her family rather than fussing over Lucas.

Three years ago she had shade a tears over Lucas, felt a pain she had never felt before but never again

"Alyssa!"

Alyssa turned to the direction the voice had came from, her cousins Willow and Breanna were rushing towards her, laughing they threw their arms around her, pulling her into a hug

"you cut your hair" willow pulled back "it is pretty" she hadn't seen them in 5 years since their parents moved to France

"I love it" Breanna touched the ends brushing her cheeks "it fits you perfectly"

"Derek didn't even notice when I did" Alyssa complained, dragging a hand over her scalp. she realized that Lucas hadn't commented on her new style either not that it matter she thought quickly thought

not one bit, she didn't care.

"you guys didn't even let me know you were coming" she fussed changing the topic

"Sorry it was last minute, Breanna decided she wants to have her wedding her at the B&B" Willow aaid

"oh my God, you getting married?" Alyssa asked in shocked yes

Breanna grinned "yes, to David Cameron" she held her finger up and Alyssa sucked in an admiring breath at the sparkling diamond.it was an elegant emerald cut. "now that's what I'm talking about, haven't met him yet but I already like him, does my parents know?"

"yeah mom told her last week" Breanna replied smiling

they went into the kitchen to settle down, Alyssa popped open a bottle of wine she got as a gift from one of the locals, filled three flutes "to Breanna "

they blocked glasses and sipped, then they were all taking at once

"so enough about me, how about you, are you dating someone?" Breanna asked

"Alyssa is never dating anyone, or are you?" Willow leaned forward with interest

"she wouldn't never mention it" Breanna arched a brow

"we should focus on the wedding not my boring love life" she said trying to changed the topic

"She is definitely dating someone" willow said laughing

Alyssa sighed and shooked her head, her cousins loved teasing her

before she could reply Derek and Lucas came in talking but they immediately stopped when they saw them

"what are you all celebrating?" Derek frowned

Willow leaned over to Alyssa "is that Lucas Ramirez like the Lucas Ramirez?" Alyssa simply nodded trying not to roll her eyes

"Breanna is getting married " Alyssa replied to Derek

"oh my God are you Lucas Ramirez ?Breanna asked

Lucas nodded with no emotion written on his face, clearly he was used to this question a lot

" please would you come to my wedding?" Alyssa quickly rolled her eyes but Lucas saw it and smiled" Sure, I promise"

"my turn would be in 4 months, would you come please" Willow asked and Lucas nodded

"sounds like it would be Alyssa's turn to, she was starting to tell us about her new boyfriend"

lucas's glanced swiveled towards her, Alyssa gritted her teeth, great just want she wanted the whole world to know she has a new boyfriend, just great.

"Is that so?" Lucas lifted an interesting eyebrow at her

"come on Ally tell us" Breanna handed a glass of champagne to Lucas and Derek

With everyone waiting for her answer, Alyssa took a deep breath "Grant" she said evenly "Grant Thayer, he is a lawyer in New York "

unimpressed , Derek took a sip of his wine ",never heard of him"

"where did you two meet?" Breanna asked in awe

"we are here to talk about your wedding not my love life " she said ignoring the questions "it must be serious she is ignoring the questions" willow chimes in.

"and she used the 'L' word' Breanna said laughing

" it's just an expression"Alyssa faced palmed herself and met with Lucas fixed gaze, she couldn't read his emotions, she didn't know if he was angry or not and that freaks her out

"well if you ever get married, I hope you have the wedding here not in New York" Derek said getting up and making his way through the back door, with her cousins arguing were the wedding would be held, Alyssa glance at Lucas, his gaze met hers, he lifted his Champagne glass to her then slowly sipped,with her cousins arguing where her wedding would hold, Alyssa saw her chance, she frowned at him she didn't know what he met by that, she smoothly rose from her chair and escaped through the back door, plenty of time to put some time to put some distance between her and Lucas and all that boyfriend talk, she was just about to run to the B&B when a firm hand pull her back, she knew whose and it was even in her sleep

"Come with me, we need to talk" His voice was deep and husky didn't give Alyssa much time to protest, she simply nodded
