Prologue

What is love?

Love endures.

"Are you coming home tonight?" I asked my husband. As far as I know, it's Sunday and he doesn't have work in his office. But that's it and he's all dressed up. He's even wearing a perfume that he doesn't do.

"No, I'm not coming home, tonight. Don't wait for me." he answered coldly.

"Okay. W–where are you going?" I asked in curiosity.

"To a friend." he replied and he seemed very sure of it.

Love always understands even it's hurting you.

"Okay." I'm not contented to what he said. I guess it's different. When my husband left, I hurriedly called Jacob. He's my husband's bestfriend.

"Do you know where Rod is going? Please Jacob, don't lie to me." I beg openly to Jacob.

"My God, Cianna! You know the truth can harm with the child in your womb. So, you'd better act like nothing happened—" Yeah, I'm pregnant and my husbad doesn't know that. Only his bestfriend know, only Jacob knows about my four weeks pregnancy.

But—love will  always  let you find the truth even it will hurt you, just  to set you free.

"Please, Jacob! I'm begging you," I pleaded on the line. I heard Jacob sigh before he spoke.

"Fine! He's seeing Thalia, his ex-fiancé." he finally admits. I suddenly let go of the phone I was holding. Immediately my tears began to flow.

In life, if we can't handle the pain that we're feeling anymore, we'll runaway.

"You're always lying to me, Rod!"

"You're always cheating on me with your ex-fiancé!"

"I'm tired! I'm tired of loving you with your shits!"

"I'm now letting you go!" I cried one after another as I struggled to fight the pain that now enveloped my whole being. I hurried went upstairs to my room crying as I put away my belongings.

But the question is, does running away will set us free?

Does running away will remove the pain that we're feeling in our hearts?

I don't know.

But it's the only way my mind telling me.

I, Cianna Marie Alvarez-Del Mundo, a martyr wife of Rodleigh Mariano Del Mundo and is now tired of being his martyr wife.

"I don't want to be a fool anymore! I don't want to be your wife, to be a martyr anymore, Rodleigh Mariano Del Mundo!" I then again shouted before running away from his home.
