Feeling mixed emotions, Daxtor stared at him. Devin was his biological brother.

That question hit him hard.

They were no longer teenagers driven by youthful impetuosity. Both of them were well into their 50s, and the bond between them had eroded over the years of conflicts and disputes.

Moments later, Daxtor nodded slightly, his voice carrying a hint of weariness, "I will save you."

Devin finally breathed a sigh of relief. He remained silent for a long time but still didn't make a decision.

"I'll go back and think about it. Before that, return Spencer to me."

Daxtor agreed. "You'd better hurry up and make up your mind. We're running out of time."

Devin silently left the room. He looked extremely exhausted.

Pinching his brows, Daxtor sat in the meeting room for a while before returning to his study.

Lewis was already waiting inside.

Daxtor was somewhat surprised. "Why are you here?"

"I figured out you'd want to see me. So I came to wait for you. It saves time."
