I was just finishing up my shift at the gallery, willing for Sarah, the other girl that worked here, one of the girls I alternated shifts with to hurry up and takeover so I could go home and get changed for rugby. It’s been a month since Sam’s party, that wonderful night that led Layton to fall asleep in my bed holding my hand and for two weeks I thought about it constantly. I got home and found my mum had left me a plate of salad and pasta in the fridge...What a star! I could literally inhale the food right now I’m starved. I heated up the pasta and took it to my room to quickly eat then got into the shower. I had three hours before I had to meet the girls at Maz's so I had a nap after my shower, setting my alarm to wake me up in two hours I had to have some sleep my body was practically begging for it. Training had been going really well so far this week and today’s training was hard, but it made me feel stronger and my dad had promised to train with me when he got back from work so work on my sword skills and my Dad was an excellent swordsman, he’d actually been given a medal that was sewn onto his leather armour for excellent combat and swordsmanship in a time of need and in battle. We made our way up the concrete steps that led to the large village hall, and we couldn’t ignore all the obvious stares we were getting and wolf whistles, guys telling us we look ’killer’! We whispered to each other in little giggles, excited for the night ahead. We walked in and headed straight for the drinks bar, the music was blaring and the walls were covered in artificial leaves with orange and yellow flowers with lights intertwined in them, the ceiling had light blue thin sheeting draped across with green and white lights and the drinks being served tonight, were all concocted with yellow orange and green coloured syrups mixed in with the alcohol. The hall was already filled with so many people and the atmosphere was a buzz.
