Silvan’s POV

I was seated in the midst of the elders of the cult, who happened to be holding a meeting . I was less concerned about what they were talking about, I tried to make my presence known as much as possible by a quick no, but midway across the meeting they had lost me.

I stared out of the window, with a hardened look on my face. It had been days since I was released from that jail, and yet the sense of freedom which I’ve been feeling had worn off. I wasn’t excited anymore and Now my mind was focused on other bigger things, and that was—Dario.

I wanted Dario to feel exactly how I felt. My eyes, which were on the window, shifted in the direction of the footsteps which seemed to be getting closer. The minute the footsteps stopped, I saw two men appear in front of me, with a grimace look spread across their faces.

“Is there any problem?” My voice was cold, and the look on the men’s face changed as they appeared scared.
