Ava Delaney.
"I'm here! Sorry for being late" I shouted, running into the hotel I worked at while struggling with a bag on my shoulders.
I ran into the lobby, ignoring the stern look I received from Ashley, the receptionist. She sat on the front desk in our staff uniform, a white shirt and a blue pleated skirt, with a blue pair of glasses sitting on her nose. She was around my age too but there was a more matured charisma she carried.
"As usual" She muttered and I laughed softly before going around her desk to drop my bag under her table.
"Help me hold on to these. Is the boss around yet?" I asked, looking around frantically at the lobby. It was a beautiful room with a bright silver chandelier above us. Two sofas and Ashely's workspace.
"Not yet. But hurry he should be here soon. Just get changed. You have about ten rooms to clean but you have to start at the top floor, Brandon is already at the bottom floor" Ashely said, typing quickly at the computer in front of her.
"Ok which rooms are clear?" I asked, looking around before bending low, hiding behind the table and removing my shirt. I swept back my brown hair from my face and put on the white shirt I wore everyday.
"Suite 206, 210 and 230 for the top floors. Ok let me see I think suite 228 is free too. The guests are gone and today is Friday. You need to be as quick as possible. You know we have more guests on the weekend" Ashley concluded, looking down at me with wide eyes.
"Are you really changing here?" She asked and I smirked, buttoning my shirt and pulling down my skirt.
"Watch me" I said cockily.
"I'd rather not. Just be quick. Told you Brandon is working on the ground floor today and he can walk in any moment. How's Avery doing by the way?" Ashely asked, looking away to continue typing at her computer.
I quickly put on my skirt which wasn't so hard because the table was high and I was on the short side. I pulled on my flat shoes from my bag and stood up to brush my skirt.
"She's fine, doctor said she's getting better according to her last chemo" I answered, closing up my bag and pushing them further under the desk.
"That's good to hear, did your landlady fix the drainage this time?" Ashley said sadly, unzipping her bag to get a rubber band which she handed to me.
I placed it between my lips first and swept my head to a bun before tying it up. I picked my name tag that read "Ava" and underneath it "Cleaner" in italics and pinned it to my shirt above my breast.
The name tag was the most degrading piece of my uniform I owned but it was compulsory because my boss didn't want the guests to think we were one of them. He was that professional.
"Not yet. The hallways were flooded last week too" I replied sadly.
"She's horrible. Honestly you don't deserve this kind of life. Drunkard father who got shot, mom committed suicide and twin sister has cancer." Ashley said, looking at me with sad eyes.
"Nobody does." I shook my head and gave a forced smile to avoid thinking back before looking down at the table to admire my reflection. My brown hair was tied to a bun and my bright brown eyes stared back at me. A beauty mark was behind my right ear. I smiled, my sister had hers on her left ear.
Ashley gave me a sad face but I only grinned, coming out of her space to stand in front of her, not before taking out my headphones and hanging it around my neck.
"Gotta go now!" I announced, snatching the master key card from Ashley's desk before winking at her and leaving the lobby to the janitors closet to get my cleaning supplies.
I got them and started to head to the elevator when I saw a glimpse of another cleaner and the only male, Brandon.
I quickly ran to the elevator not wanting to speak to him right now, he was so inquisitive and I didn't have the time to answer all his questions. I pressed the button to the last floor and stepped out of the elevator when I reached. I dropped my cleaning supplies and placed my headphones in my ear, then took out my phone and played Monster by EXO.
The Korean Pop blasted into my ear at the loudest volume and I started down the hallway as I looked at the suite numbers on the doors.
What was the suite Ashley mentioned were free again? I tried to recall them as I nodded my head to the beat of the music.
I think she mentioned suite 200 was free, right?
I looked at the brown door that read suite 200. Yes, she did. I concluded, taking my key card, swiping it to the reader and opened the door.
The suite was one of the biggest on the floor, in fact the hotel itself was meant for only extremely rich people. It cost a ton to spend the night here. I closed the door behind me and looked around. A huge bed stood at the center, with grey duvet on it. A glass of whiskey stood on the table beside it. A huge TV mounted on the white wall reflecting back the light from the huge chandelier above me.
I walked further into the room passing a door that led to a sitting room, heading to the huge glass wall that stood in as a barrier between the beautiful city and the exquisite room.
It was bursting outside with the sun shining mercilessly down at the people waking about and heading to work.
I sighed, before picking my mop to clean the room while the music blasted loudly in my ears.
The song changed to BTS 'Boy with love' and I took my mop just close to my mouth and started to sing to it at the top of my voice. The walls were soundproof so I wasn't disturbing anyone.
"Oh na na na!" I sang the only part that wasn't in Korean. I should have played the remix with Hasley so I would at least be able to sing something.
RM's solo came up and I took off my shoes and jumped on the bed, with the bottle of soap in hand I continued singing gibberish at the top of my voice. It was times like this that I wished I knew Korean. But that didn't stop me and I hummed to some parts while jumping on the bed.
"Boy with love, oh na na na!" I sang, throwing my hands in the air, my hair had come out of the bun and I swept it around my face. I was a terrible dancer but that didn't stop me and I moved and jumped around the huge bed.
But when I turned, my eyes caught a movement and I looked to see someone coming out of the bathroom.
A towel was tied around slender waist, and water dropped down his torso. He had six packs and the water slide around it like a maze and escaped into his lower region. I continued to trail up to his face, his sharp jawline that could cut through diamonds. Pink lips that were wet making it appear more kissable.
Then lastly I was met with blue eyes. Blue cold eyes that glared at me hatefully. His black hair fell in wet bangs on his face dripping down his temple and to the floor.
He was hot. He was the most gorgeous person I had ever seen. Like a Greek god that just stepped out of the pages of a historical book.
My jaw dropped and I scrambled to take my headphones out of my ear, I could hear the faint sound of the music blasting through it as I stood still on the bed.
Has someone been here?
I thought Ashely said Suite 200 was free? Or had I mixed it up and went to an occupied room?
Has he seen me dancing? On his bed nonetheless?
Oh God what was I going to do?!
It was when he spoke, I shook out of my thoughts.
It was a deep baritone voice that sent shivers down my spine, there was something commanding about it. Something cold and harsh laced with his voice.
"Why is a filthy cleaner standing on my bed?" He said.
Please let the ground open up and swallow me together with his bed. I thought.
Because I was in deep trouble today.

Ava. I scrambled off the bed immediately and my leg got caught up in the blankets making me lose my balance and fall to the floor with a loud thud. "Ow!" I yelled as I fell on the bucket of water, splashing it everywhere and wetting the floors and soaking me completely. I was a walking disaster! But despite the scene I was making, the man didn't even come to my rescue and I managed to get up while groaning in pain and holding onto my waist. "I'm sorry" I said quickly and watched as the man stood there in some sort of Royalty, his eyes fixed on mine with a spark of disgust. He said nothing and I moved to get my supplies and clean my mess when I noticed my
Ava. I walked slowly, thinking on my way to the hospital. I bumped a lot into people, they reigned cursed at me, some even hit me to get my attention but I paid them no mind as I continued down the path that led to the hospital. I didn't want to talk to anyone but Avery. I didn't want to see anyone but Avery. I wanted to stay in her arms till everything got better. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I didn't take it out, it would probably be Ashley checking up on me or Brandon being the curious cat. Whoever it was, I didn't check to confirm. Instead I made a turn and saw the hospital ahead. What hurt me the most was that I didn't have my headphones anymore. It had managed to tear me away from my thoughts, but now I was left alone with the thought of how horrible
Ava. "He's not going to let me come back Ashley. He didn't respond to my calls. I'm done" I said over the phone while putting on my sandals. It was Saturday and after seeing Avery yesterday and spending the rest of the day telling her about the hot but cruel man who had gotten me fired. I finally left for home. "Just come back and beg him once more. He might hire you back. You know how he gets when he has bad reviews from guests. It's just for the meantime" Ashley assured me and I buckled my sandals before standing up and looking at the clock. It was already past twelve. I was late. "Look Ash. I'm not sure but let me call you later today. I have to see someone." I replied. "Ok, take care" Ashely said before ending the call.
Ava. I stood at the entrance of the Billionaire's club and stared at the building in awe. It was a tall, big building with glass windows that were shut close. 'Billionaire's Club' was written boldly in blue glowing letters on a huge board just above the door. I fisted my palm nervously. I walked towards the bouncers that stood at the entrance and gulped visibly when their eyes locked with mine. There were about four of them in front of the double doors and I waved shyly. "Who are you? and state your business here" One of them asked with a piercing in his nose and I jerked at the tone of his voice before shuffling through my bag for my CV and showing it to them. "My name is Ava Delaney. I-m here for an inter
Mikhail Ivanshov. A knock sounded on my door and for a second I thought it was the cleaner girl coming back to apologise for wetting my bed and practically messing up my room, but I had seen her leaving the building from my windows. A pang of guilt hit me but I quickly shove it aside. I don't have time for petty things like this and arguments with cleaners. I hardly even came in contact with them because of this. They were rude, arrogant and proud even though they had nothing. My father had taught me that poor people had the biggest ego. I suddenly didn't feel bad for what I had done to the girl, I smirked but frowned once more when the trail of dirty water reached my foot. This is disgusting.
Ava. "Se- sexy lingerie?" I gasped in shock and Aiden smirked before looking away from me and walking further down the hallway. "Yes. You mentioned you were comfortable in revealing clothes, isn't that right?" He stopped, not turning back to look at me. "Uhm. I mean yes. But I didn't know it would be something as sexy as that." I stammered, fisting my palm nervously.. "We have a strict policy here. We want our waitresses to look as sexy as possible. We have millionaires, billionaires and politicians coming here. I need to capture their attention and if not with drinks, then with my workers. You're the one representing the club. Now hurry, the girls would soon be moving out." He said, before we got to the door, a woman was heading quickly towards it with a big bag in h
Ava. To say I was shocked was an understatement. My eyes widened at the man in front of me. He looked the same as in the hotel, but there was a sexy, deadly aura around him in his grey suit which I just totally ruined. A frown came upon his face as he glared down at me, I staggered backwards, blushing hard from embarrassment. God! Why did I have to meet him again? Especially after the stunt I pulled off at the hotel room. Oh Lord! Why now of all times? And now that I had to spill the drinks all over him! He was right. I never got my job right. "Uhm. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your clothes" I mumbled, shifting away from him before bending down to pick up the broken pieces of the glass. I suddenly wished I hadn'
Ava. "So let me start from the bottom. Here in Billionaire's Club there are Ten Levels of Wealth. And these ten levels are divided into three groups. The lower four, the middle three and the top three. But you'll understand me when I explain further" Olivia started and I sighed in anticipation. "Now the lower four have four levels, and they are the ones occupying downstairs. Number 10 in the Level of Wealth is the 'High Rich'. These classes of people are the regular rich ones, with good businesses and start ups. They are richer than the average man making them number ten on the list" Olivia explained before taking my hand and leading me to the railings pointing out a group of men and women, dancing on the floor. Just beside the stripers who were dancing seductively and waving at a few men.
